I do believe the expanse of the universe is too large for us to ever think Earth is the only "inhabited" planet. Yet, we seem to dwell on what planets would "support life". We think of beings from other planets in visible form, even though they may be "little green men". Other planets could be inhabited by a life form that is invisible to our minds as we might be to them. They may be able to live in -500C temperatures or +100C. They may not require water or food as we know it.
I've felt for some time that we are a "crop", grown and harvested by a supreme being or beings. We will never know what is harvested from our Earth and us. Do we give off a certain gas or is there something emitted from our brains that can be used elsewhere? And, if we are one "crop" harvested for a specific purpose could there not be other "crops"? Beets, corn, fish, beef cattle, and wheat all look quite different. Yet, each is grown/harvested for a specific purpose. Why could that not be with humans vs. some other intergalactic beings?
