If I had that kind of money don't think I would buy a mansion. I'd want to live comfortably, and I'd probably hire a cook and maybe someone to do some of the housework (dusting, windows, and floors), but I'm pretty sure I'd still want a relatively simple life.

I have no idea what I'd do if I became uber-riche.

I'd LIKE to say I'd immediately go into Mother- Theresa-Mode and start solving humanity's problems, but since I've had absolutely no experience even being unter-riche, I'd probably turn into an even bigger a$$hole than I am already, so it's likely best that we'll never find out.

I'd be the first to do it, if I ever was.

Actually I do recall being wrong once, I apologized too quickly for something and later discovered I had been right in the first place.

Sassycakes, it is really refreshing that you apologized for your comments. That does not happen very often these days. I have always admired Oprah and it's wonderful that she is such a generous person. Dolly Parton is also quite wealthy and gives away a lot of her wealth. Most recently she gave a million dollars to Vanderbilt (I think) University to help with the development of the COVID vaccine and other treatments.

I read an article last night and I'm still wondering. The article said Oprah Winfrey paid 90 million dollars for her house. It made me think that there were so many good ways to use that money. Imagine how much good donating that money to so many organizations could help poor people out or companies doing research to cure a disease. At her age, I would rather downsize and be remembered as a person caring about others.

Oprah does a LOT for different organizations. Her money, she spend it as she see fit for her. If I had hat kind of money, I may. I would have a suite for my private nurse, massage therapist, chef, my personal assistant. Oh yes I can see me doing that. It's not how much time I will have to live there, it is the time that I would ENJOY living there
