Do you treat yourself?

And if so, how?

A treat for me could be something as simple as a lunch out, a new streaming series or a movie. A big treat would be attending a play or concert. A huge treat would be traveling somewhere. I also like to have something to look forward to so very rarely are my plans random.

So what do you do to treat yourself?

I like to make my meals attractive. If they lack color I might slice a plum tomato or add some pesto or a pickle. Then I use my favorite dishes. I might pick up a new one from Food Network or the dollar store. The shape is as important as the color. A flower in a tiny vase or a cobalt blue napkin helps. I guess I'm desperate!

It's been a long time. It used to be a movie, but the theater I liked closed, or an occasional trip to Dallas to revisit malls; other places I used to go. I'm not used to the traffic there anymore, so I haven't been in awhile. I need to find something new to do, so thanks for the reminder.

Not at all; I think that sounds lovely, @Babs2u. :)

I treat myself similarly to the way you do, @seadoug. I usually opt for a book, but I also sometimes treat myself to streaming a series or movie, or to a meal out with friends or one of my daughters. I enjoy small treats as well, such as getting a mocha with whipped cream when I meet my friends for coffee instead of my usual black coffee. Unfortunately, there are virtually no opportunities here for things like concerts or plays.

I've been saving up to treat myself to a trip, but with the state of my current budget that may take awhile. Still, one can dream. :)

I'm actually a very big believer in treating oneself.
