Do You Use A Password Manager?

I have used Last Pass for several years but they have had a number of breaches to their system so I think it is time for a change. It seems the reviews I have read recommend 1Password, Keeper or Bitwarden. I want something easy to use but secure. Any suggestions?

Bitwarden is OK and very safe but it is web based. I am very 'old school' when it comes to security so I prefer KeePass which runs only on my local machine. KeePass was highly recommended many years ago by Mr. Tavis Ormandy, one of Google's top security researchers. The nice thing about KeePass is it is free, open source and constantly being updated by a very dedicated team of highly skilled volunteers.

only for sites I frequent, but not for anything personal / financial. for those I sign in each time I visit. I also change those passwords fairly frequently...

I use an actual address book. I even labeled it "Account Passwords" figuring my wife and kids might need them when I kick the bucket.
Same me. I showed the kids my "book" so if something happens, they can access my "stuff". I would not want to take any :shortcuts on passwords just to save a couple of seconds. It's just a question of time before one of these "managers" is hacked, and destroys the finances, etc. of those who participate.

No, never trusted the idea of a Password Manager. I just keep track of my own passwords, especially for important sites. I write them down, so my husband can have easy access too. If he creates an account, he will write the password down.

I'm very old school. I have my passwords printed out on sheets of paper and they are also on a ScanDisk so they reside nowhere on the internet or on my laptop. I also have Two-Step Verification on my financial accounts so a code needs to be sent to my phone prior to logging in.

I used LassPass (Free) for over 10+ years. I also used RoboForm as a backup Password Manager at the same time. I gave up LastPass last September because of all of their breaches in the last few years. I also deleted my account at LassPass. Now I'm running the Paid Version of RoboForm Password Manager. RoboForm had a special in September for their paid version that I couldn't pass up, the cheapest I ever seen it. I guess there are a lot of people are giving up LastPass and going to different Password Managers. I'm good with RoboForm Premium (Paid) until renewal in 2029 (If I'm still here.) 🤣

Me too. I figure it's safer to write passwords down. I can't trust putting my passwords on some programme on computer as surely they could be hacked
I have so many passwords that I've resorted to recording them in a little phone book (the alphabetical tabs are helpful).
Me too. It's the simplest way.

I would do that but I use passwords daily for signing onto accounts. I have dyslexia with numbers so that is a problem for me manually putting in passwords for every account all the time.
I have redone all my passwords on RoboForm as follows:
  • Uppercase Characters (A-Z)
  • Lowercase Characters (a-z)
  • Numbers (0-9)
  • Symbols (such as ! # % $ , ? &)
  • 25 or more characters total for each account
Master Password for RoboForm is 35+ characters total. Changed every 3 months.
Master Password has a 2-Step Verification for signing in.
