Do you use coupons?

A few years ago, using coupons was all the rage. If I happen to have a coupon for something I need- GREAT! But most of the time, I forget the coupon or it's for something I never use.

(BTW. A few years ago, during the coupon rage, I collected about 30 feminine hygiene coupons. Some for $3-4 Off. I gave them all to my girlfriend. Instead of being grateful, she got angry. She yelled, "Are you trying to tell me something?")

I still cut out the coupons in the Sun local paper put them in my coupon folder.
I use the coupons from one of the local grocery stores I regular shop at.There have been times when I forget to take them ,or else they have expired Sue

Not as much as I used to. I print some from online. BJ's sends us a coupon book every month and I often find several to use. So now it really depends.

I buy most of my groceries in no-frills stores like Aldi, Price Rite, etc... so the prices I pay and the brands I choose are normally lower in price than a national brand with a coupon.

I do still scan the coupons that come with the grocery advertisements and check to see if a coupon is available online for certain things.

At this point in my life, my money is more valuable than my time so it makes sense to save using a coupon or two.

Yes, some from the flyers in the newspaper but the best ones are the ones a big groc chain sends every so often for the things I actually buy..creeps me out a little that they have so much info, but as said above, lots of time!

Yes, I assume they track purchases via your store rewards card then send coupons.

Kroger sends good ones. I always get free bacon, free eggs, free Haagen Dazs ice cream, and $1.00 off several other items. (the free things are FREE, not buy one get one free). I sometimes load digital coupons, but it's time consuming. I don't get a newspaper so no clipping.

Yeah, I just go to the rack at Krogers

They have a stack of weekly ads to pull from

I just scan thru and tear out the ones for milk and whole grain bread

Everthing else doesn’t pertain to my lifestyle
But if I ever have a need for femine napkins….

And the rewards deal

I don’t buy enough to make it work

I always use coupons. Most stores around here double them and if used on a sale item it adds up. I never buy items just because there is a coupon, only what I need and use. We also have the digital coupons that I dislike. I forget to mark it on my shopping list that I have loaded it to my store card. Sometimes the store doesn't advertise on the shelf that there is a digital coupon available and I stand there asking myself why I have it on my list. I don't have a smart phone and I load them on from my home computer. Usually I write it down but not always.

I check the grocery store ads in the newspaper weekly to look for sales, and if there's something I'm interested in that requires a coupon, I cut it out and put it in my wallet. I also keep some coupons I get in the mail, like for Bed, Bath and Beyond...just in case I need something from there, but I keep those at home unless I need them. Online I will use promo codes for discounts, but I haven't used any online coupons that you have to print out, I don't really look for coupons online. So far I haven't bothered to use any digital coupons, like Ruth I don't use a smart phone.

I use the digital coupons at Kroger. They do send good free ones. I used 2 today. Like apple said, they are free. I also check my receipt to be sure the ecoupons were applied. I don't mind they track my purchases and send ones for things I use. I give the ones I don't use to a friend that can use them as he has a family and buys more groceries than I do. Kroger had the 12 pack cokes and Dr, Peppers 4 for 10.00. Plus they had sent me a 1.50 coupon if I bought 10.00 of soft drinks. So they ended up costing me 8.50. I will use them with the grands being here for the holiday and their friends here also. I like a coke everyday but will not pay full price for them. So I get them on sale.

I'll use coupons if they don't require that I buy several of an item instead of only one. I don't think that coupons are as good as they used to be...

If a coupon jumps out at me for something I was going to buy anyway, yes. Otherwise, no. My time is worth more to me than the few cents I might save.

No trouble for me either but I still take the time to bend over and pick up pennies from heaven when I see them.

These days with smart phones and ‘price matching’ cutting out coupons is a thing of the past. Now all you need to do is show the cashier the better deal elsewhere and they will instantly match it, no coupons needed.

I live by myself, so couponing isn't that critical. What is crucial is the "COUPON LADY" at the check out. She comes with hundreds of expired coupons. Plus most of her coupons are crumpled, so they won't scan. The clerk must slowly enter a monster size coupon code to save 15 cents. Also, those internet coupons for $10 off on a 87 cent item are fake. That causes Coupon Lady to speak to the "manager". We will have to wait until he arrives. He, of course, is somewhere west of Alaska, and will be here some time in the distant future. And about those 116 coupons for free Cheapo soap bars, Coupon Lady cleared the shelf of all the 10 ounce bars, but the coupons only apply to the 12 ounce bars. " Where's the manager?"

Sometimes.
There doesn't seem to be as many these days.
Then some places want you to do it from a computer "clip", I'm not into all that.

Aunt Bea, I pick up pennies too. I always heard they were from loved ones on the other side letting us know they are good. So I pick every one up with a thanks mom or dad!
