Aside from a mandatory fingerprint to renew your driver's license, do you voluntarily use a fingerprint ID for bank business, gym "keys", or other things? I don't, I'm against the idea of using something so personal. What are your thoughts?
SB, here in Oz we definitely don't have it for renewal of our driver's licence and don't think it used for bank business as far as I know......
I Don't use a gym....other Aussies may know if its used for other things.:dunno:
Don't think I'd use it unless it was mandatory though.:concern:
I haven't seen any fingerprint I D's in use in years except for the driver's license. I was fingerprinted when I joined the Air Force, again when I bought an M1 Garand from the DCM program and again when I got my concealed carry permit. I wouldn't mind using my fingerprints for ID when banking, etc. but I've haven't seen that being done around here.
I only had about 4 or 5 pictures taken in my life. So yes I have problem using finger or eye printing. Now some places have even started a ear print data base. :dunno:
My doctor's office uses it at patient discretion, but I'm not participating in putting my finger where many other sick fingers have been. It seems senseless to me in a medical ofs.
