My problem is he's got his big workshop where we are now and we are already mortgage and debt free. So he's got everything he wants right here and is already doing the things that he enjoys (playing golf and screwing around out there in his workshop) and I'm not; so he's happy anyway.

Oh! He’s already retired in the house he wants living out his dream. That WILL be a tough one.
I have no other suggestions except maybe find some good hobbies to keep your mind focussed on some positive enjoyable things in your life.

My hobbies: 1) reading; 2) thinking about the book I'm reading/have read/want to read. That's it unfortunately; I'm one of those people who can't stand using their hands for anything other than turning the pages of a book or operating a computer mouse or keyboard.

I'd enjoy the world a lot more if I had mind control abilities. No more rude, pushy, impatient people around me, the neighbors would never play their music too loud, the folks with loud cars and motorcycles would either avoid my area or make sure they were quite when passing through, the possibilities for a better world are limitless.
