Do you watch TV in bed before going to sleep ?

Bone of contention in our house. I refuse to have a TV in the bedroom. She wants one. She lost, ain't gonna happen.
I want it dark and quiet when I go to bed.
She falls asleep every nite watching the tube in the family room. She will lay there snoring like a lumberjack for two hours, but if I touch the remote and change channels she will jump to the alert, and loudly proclaim, "I WAS WATCHING THAT"

Never gonna be a TV in my bedroom.

My wife wanted to buy a smaller big-screen tv for our bedroom, but I pretty much talked her out of it. "We barely watch the tv that's in there". Looks like I won that one.
Wife never falls asleep anywhere but our bed and snores very lightly. If she gets too loud, I'll wake her up and she will turn over and go back to sleep with no more snoring. Guess I have a very understanding wife.

I do watch TV in bed, but I turn it off when I decide to go to sleep because it mainly keeps me up unless I'm really, really tired.

I took the TV out of my bedroom when I was thirty-two. I had gotten into the habit of reading books, before I fell asleep, while I was in Kenya, where there was no TV at night. Removing the TV, when I got back to The States, was the best thing I ever did. It saw me increase my reading speed and the number of books I read, monthly: So much better for one's brain than the idiot box, I believe.

Turn the tv to cspan... best sleeping device I know of. LOL

Unfortunately, that wouldn't work for me because I like that kind of thing, but I don't have C-Span anyway. But now that you reminded me, I'm listening to U.S. Supreme Court argument by C-SPAN online. See my problem now? ;)

For whatever reason I need some background noise when I go to sleep so some nights I fall asleep to a TV show, other nights I'll fall asleep listening to a podcast.
