Do You Wear Bright Colours?

I don't have a photo of me wearing it... but one of my favourite sweaters is this mid blue... which you can just see the cuff in this photo I took of my newly done nails

@Della I too remember when everyone was ‘having their colors done’. Seems like you were classified as Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, with certain colors assigned to each season. I was talked into going and don’t remember much about it. I think I was Winter. The one thing that stuck with me was the consultant doing our group said no woman, no matter her hair color, skin tone, etc should wear orange next to her face. Orange is my least favorite color so no problem for me.

I do have a lot of color in my clothing. I mean, why not enjoy some color in your life.

that sounds nice Babs... I do similar almost always wear dark bottoms if I'm wearing jeans or leggings.. and even if I'm wearing a dark top, I almost always wear a bright red sleeveless Body warmer.. or a green one...

I wear a fairly wide range of things from very bland to somewhat noticeable. I'm a very fortunate man. My wife makes most of my short sleeve shirts and I often pick the fabric for the shirts. However this one in the picture below is a fabric she found at a quilt show. She texted me a picture asking if I'd wear it and I texted back "Of course!" It's one of my favorite shirts. It depicts a Dia De Los Muertos scene.

I also just ran across this image of bright colors I wore at Burning Man a couple of years. It was an el-wire outfit I designed and sewed. My wife is the one who soldered the connectors onto the el-wire so it could be powered by battery packs we wore on our boots. The hat had a separate battery back contained in the hat itself. The best way to think about el-wire if you aren't familiar with it is to think of flexible neon even though it has nothing to do with neon. It is wire that glows when you run current through it.

As I am old now, I tend to wear neutral and subtle color: black, grey, brown, white, never blue, etc. In winter, I may add a accent color scarf, but in general, I don't want to standout. I am not a celebrity, I have no need to impress anyone.

It's not about impresssing other people. it's about what you like, what makes you feel looks good on you...

I seem to have more typos these days. There must be something wrong with my eyes or my hands, or the phone.

you're preaching to the converted lol... since my accident last July.. my right hand has still no feeling at all in it.. so I'm constantly making spelling errors... , it doesn't help that for some reason my spell correct doesn't work on the computer... so sometimes it's just gobbledegook that I write...
 
I love vibrant colours and gravitate towards brightly coloured clothing.

When I was a child with very blonde hair and pale skin I looked unwell if I wore white.
I cannot remember ever wearing pale pink.
 
At least half my closet consists of bright colors! I think of them as happy colors (I think someone might have said that already?)

My color selection changed somewhat after my hair grayed. It’s not all the way gray but there’s enough of the salt in the salt and pepper that it definitely looks lighter than it used to. Now, though I still wear color, the tones of the colors have changed. Clear jewel tones are better on me these days.

I have a lot of patterned clothing, reflecting the colors that do best on me. I also like clothing with a white background with lots of color layered on, whether it’s stripes, florals or abstract.
 
I try to wear colors that compliment my gray hair, I do like Jules' green sweater and would wear it with black pants and black top, but most of the time I try to tone it down when it comes to bright colors.
