Do You Wear Hats? What Kinds?

My gf collects hats, but she doesn't wear them. She has major designer hats, really good looking, but she doesn't like wearing them. I wear hats all of the time, when I'm outside. I figure they help prevent sunburn and melanomas, later down the line.

I made a Hall of Hats with the gf's collection, after I gave up on asking her to wear them. It looked cool until I took it down. My hats are still up. We have a blown up copy of the famous, original Mad Hatter's Tea Party up in our hall
If I had all those hats I'd wear them! :)

I like hats but don't wear them. My head isn't shaped for a hat. I tried the winter ski caps and by the time I come home it is sitting straight up on the top of my head. I guess I have a point on the top of my head.
I know what you mean Ruth. When I wear the knitted hats I have to keep pulling them down because they ride up on me! :D

i dont. i suffer folliculitis which is made worse by wearing hats.
🤢I have no idea what f.........tis is but garlic cures everything, except a broken heart. Being an Aussie you might check with an Aboriginal Medicine Man. :) I have no faith in medicine be prescribed by doctors today. My last prescription from my doctor listed possible side effects worst than my issue which was caused by not drinking enough water...be well.

In the bitter winter cold, I'll wear a knit cap to minimize heat loss through my head. If running a snow blower in blowing snow, it's time for a "mad bomber" hat. When mowing grass in direct sun, I'll wear a ball cap to shield my eyes...

I hate wearing any kinds of hats, but like you Jim, if I'm out with the dog and it's raining or threatening rain, I'll wear a ball cap to keep the rain off my face. If I'm out camping and taking long hikes in the sun, I'll also wear it. I wear a wool knit hat on cold winter days, usually just a black or gray one, nothing fancy.

We have one of those hats similar to the one in the photo, left by my father-in-law. It's around somewhere but we never really wear it. We both have super warm winter parkas for snow blizzard conditions with hoods that are warm and protect the face too.

I usually only wear hats in inclement weather as well. I like wearing the "Mad Bomber" hats when snowblowing my driveway. The snow tends to whip around and blow in my face when it's windy and those hats do a good job of protecting me from that. I have 3 of them.

We also have knit hats with LED lights on them for safety and visibility when walking the dogs at night during the winter.

I'm outdoors a lot and my male pattern baldness is fairly complete so the sun hits my scalp pretty hard. On my property I always wear a light colored boonie type hat....it also shields my eyes from the sun's glare. In town I prefer the hatless look but I always bring one with me in case I need it for sun protection. In my region baseball style caps are very common so I keep them around for venues where a brimmed hat seems a bit inappropriate. In our cold winters it's commonsense to wear a sensibly warm head covering and wool stocking type caps work well....they keep my ears from freezing too. Coats and heavy sweatshirts with hoods go a long way in keeping one's body warmth from escaping. My lifestyle doesn't call for stylish dressing very much but if I wish to appear more presentable, I omit wearing hats of any kind.

I have about 10 or so baseball type caps. Years ago I patronize a pub that would let you hang your hat on the ceiling. They had maybe 100 to 150 hats and you printed you name on the hat. When you returned if you could fine your hat the first draft beer was free. It was a local pub, mostly a mans hangout.

I wear a straw hat outside working in the greenhouse and gardens. It gets hot here in Florida so it has to be vented. My hair is long and thick so I wear it tied in back. Plus I'm very prone to skin cancer had lots froze, cut of my face and body.

I wear my conservative respectful hat at Church.
Then i wear semi respectable half homeless hat at the supermarket.
At home I wear my fully homeless and grungy child like hat at home.

I wear a broad brimmed straw hat in the summer because I am very susceptible to sunburn. Here in NM and at our altitude the sun can really burn you to a crisp in no time.

In the winter I wear a knitted hat if it is very cold and/or snowing.

I'm really not very fond of hats in general.

There are not a lot of hat styles that work on me. I have several berets, that I wear and a couple of fedoras. I also wear caps but not ball caps. I think they’re called newsboy caps.

And, uh, then there’s this.... 😂😈0B1449ED-AF04-4C6B-9D67-460B376813BD.jpegt
