So, using a walker is a sign of intelligence? No matter the age I surmise using a walker, when one needs one, is a sure sign of intelligence and certainly not "decrepitness".

I never found a walker to be any kind of problem just an aid in helping me get around! I'm sure that it's been suggested but there are a lot of videos on YouTube and helping people adjust to their first walker. I never found adjustment necessary but as with everything new, one needs to get used to it. All the best to you.Well, just came from getting the mail, did NOT use a walker, just
my cane....and it is very hard on me physically, just the effort
of walking down and back 30 foot approx, so dont know if I'll
try the walker, may be more problem than assist.....getting to
the point I'm nervous about even stepping out......![]()
Yeah I was surprised when I fell backwards with my rollator, but it was due to a knee jerk reaction from my neuropathy in my feet.I have a walker and a rollator. Both help, but I did fall with them. I am now in a wheelchair for long distances. Otherwise, it's the walker.
I'm sure the member probably meant the decision to use a walker was a sign of intelligence, rather then taking the chance of falling. So, using a walker is a sign of intelligence?Give me a break.
