Does anyone else like windchimes?

I have one on my back patio. It belonged to Don’s parents…and we took it after they passed. Something about the particular tones on this windchime I take great pleasure in. It is a simple thing.

Neither overly like nor dislike. Some of them, depending on the mood, setting and general atmosphere at the time, sound a little gently otherwordly. A bit... J.R.R. Tolkien mystical 'Middle Earth' kind of way. I don't know why that is -- its just the way it seems to me.

My favorite ones were some that I had hanging in trees in the backyard at my last home. They were pleasant sounding on a breezy day.

I’ve never put any on my apartment patio, only because it’s too confining.
Some people have them around here and they don’t bother me. But I don’t live next to them.

I like the ones that give a tinkle kind of sound. I also like the big metal tube typr ones that give a gong type sound. Doesn't matter; they aren't allowed here.

I love wind chimes. We have a veranda with 3 of them. They are nice. Lucky for us we don’t have any neighbours.

I like them when they are heavy enough to only make noise when a strong breeze blows. There is a house with them on my route walking home from the grocery store and I always love it when they ring when I go by.

They are even more annoying than hearing a loud bass emanating from hip-hop music playing in somebody's car when you're out on the road. At least with the bass, it's not disturbing you at home when you're trying to relax. There should be a law prohibiting metal wind chimes.

I like them. Certainly a lot more than that annoying "tune" played by our cell phones, which I absolutely hate.

I am not a person who enjoys noise due to anxiety and other issues. So I absolutely hate wind chimes.

Yes and no. I can’t recall hearing any around here in years. Maybe they’re not fashionable.

Dear wife loves wind chimes. She has Corinthian bells which area very mellow sounding. We only hang them in the enclosed lanai, so they only chime during days we have the windows open. We don't want to disturb the neighbors having them chime at night.

I had a neighbor years ago who had a dozen of them hanging along the side of his house. They were very annoying and about drove me crazy.
