While it's distasteful and personally I believe it's wrong, :sick: If you look at the complete picture, you'll see old Glory is way up above these flags. (y) That said, I'd have to wonder what would happen if there was ... oh I don't know... let's say a white pride flag?
Oh, and by the way folks... it ain't a photoshop.

I completely agree. The America flag should be the main focal point , anything else should show as important , but less important to the American flag.

It’s not my country either but I think every country should put their flag and their people first regardless of the occasion and differences of others.

I never thought you were Rose. 💙 There was no code violation and this is not a big deal except for certain people who like to stir the pot to promote their personal views of our current White House.

In the original images that circulated on social media, the U.S. flag flying over the White House was cropped out—either by accident or design. In either case, it certainly changes the context, as there was a U.S. flag at the highest point.

Others on social media brought up the fact that U.S. Flag Code Section 10 also states, "Any rule or custom pertaining to the display of the flag of the United States of America, set forth herein, may be altered, modified, or repealed, or additional rules with respect thereto may be prescribed, by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, whenever he deems it to be appropriate or desirable; and any such alteration or additional rule shall be set forth in a proclamation."

As president, Joe Biden is also commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, and it was therefore within his rights to display the flags for Saturday's event as he saw fit.

So much ado about nothing. I'm proud of my country and proud of my lifestyle. Thanks @Gaer for starting what turned out to be another circle jerk.

I already know your thoughts on the LGBTQ community. You didn't need to bring them to the surface once again. I don't make negative comments about people who claim to know the future of the world and who are spoken to by angels. I respect what you believe and don't feel the necessity to denigrate you. For someone who talks to angels, you sure like to spread hatred.

Thanks, SB. The article you posted says "whenever he deems it to be appropriate or desirable; and any such alteration or additional rule shall be set forth in a proclamation."
To the best of my knowledge, there is no proclamation., However, it's not enough to argue about anymore. 💙

Definitely a non-issue, and not worth arguing over. But it's good to get the facts out to avoid over-dramatization. I personally am glad to see the inclusivity since it's Pride Month. ☮️

Um....what's an angel? And again, I have no problem with "people like you" as you so gently put it. I have friends and family who are "people like you", but with much better attitude. I do enjoy their company....when I bother with company. Life would be so much sweeter if "people like you" would just knock the chip off your shoulder and live life as you like it.

FYI, @Naturally was the one who said "people like you". It wasn't me. I would never use that term. Why are you directing your comments to me? Perhaps your anger should be directed at him. And if you have no idea about Gaer and "angels", perhaps you should search some of her posts.

Also, I have no chip on my shoulder but I will certainly speak up for the LGBTQ community and fall on my sword when I need to. There are clearly many homophobic people in this forum and I'm not going to just be a Pollyanna and not respond. I also find it ironic when those of you who say they have gay friends say I am out of line because I express myself.

I just clipped this from a political forum. I'm not addressing this specifically to you, but maybe some others in this forum should do a little introspection and catch up with the times.

Apparently @oldaunt takes exception to the term "people like you". Perhaps the two of you should have a discussion rather than you hiding behind your comment and Liking her post. What does "people like you" mean anyway? Perhaps you'd like to share.

The angle of the picture from snopes that @ElCastor linked certainly shows the 3 flags far away from the one atop the White House.

The 3 flags are doubtless a deliberate group, and the fact that the LGBTQ flag is central to the display I find quite annoying, but that is just my opinion.
