Does anyone still take baths?

Probably some of the ladies do, but I doubt the men. While growing up there was no shower in our house and baths for all the kids were twice a week with arguments about how clean the tub was left between baths...

Nope!

We had an old claw foot tub when I was little and our baths only used a couple of inches of water in the bottom of the tub. I always hated the soap scum slime in the tub and was glad when we finally had a shower installed.

You betcha I relax in my jetted tub. That and my massage chair are probably the best things in my life as far as non-animate items go. Warms me to the bone and does away with all the muscle tension I build up moving around all day with my eroded joints. I have a rail in the wall, actually, two of them, to pull myself up should I fail to get up easily. It's a corner tub, so getting out isn't as hard because there is a lot of space.

We built a small house to retire in some 10 years ago and kept my bad joints in mind when doing so....and the tub is part of that.

I have all sorts of bathtub memories. When I was a kid on the farm we had just gotten an indoor john. Me and my sister were put into the bathtub and scrubbed once a week on Saturday & that's because we had church on Sunday. We were told to stay away from the barnyard on Saturday.
Then later when my dad came to fetch us from the farm we moved into town where we had a fancy shmancy bathroom and I got to bathe all alone. I would soap up the bottom of the tub and slide up and down as fast as I could which was great fun until I did it with my back to the faucet and skinned my back as I slid too fast up the wrong end of the tub :D

Nope. Tubs are too short and not deep enough. My lifetime #1 goal is to have a huge tub with a water heater the size of Kansas. Or a gadget that keeps the water hot the entire time.

Yes, I still do. Love my bubble baths! Sometimes with candles, a glass of wine, soft music and my hubby joining me.

Wish I had one of those old claw foots! They were big and more comfortable. I used to fall asleep in it! If I had a tub with jets, I would use it but I am usually in and out the shower real quick.

Maybe once or twice a year, otherwise it's showers for me.

The last time I took a bath, I was so relaxed and "boneless" when I got finished that I really had a hard time getting myself out of the bathtub. I finally slithered over the side like a sea lion going over a fence. I like getting into a Jacuzzi or hot tub, though, so I can have hot water up to my chin. Otherwise, there's too much body sticking out of the water and getting cold.

Yes, there is nothing like a long soak in a bubble bath. Of course must have wine, scented candles glowing with soft music playing in the background.

I mostly take showers but once in awhile I like a bubble bath. When I was a teen back in the 50s I used a bath oil called Sardo. It had the most wonderful scent and also left the most greasy, oily residue known to man. My mom hated the stuff and anyone taking a shower after I came out risked landing on their head. When I think back I wish I had cleaned up after myself to help my mom out. It never entered my mind. Now I know how much it would have been appreciated.

Ruth there was a strict rule in our house that you had to wash the tub before leaving the bathroom. That meant everybody. Even had to do it if you took a shower.

I love to soak in a hot tub of water but alas, In am 6' 4" and don't fit real well into my apartments tub. Fortunately their is a SPA that I can use by the swimming pool. So it's showers for me.

I have not taken a bath since I was a kid. The whole sitting in dirty water thing eeked me out. Plus, I find standing in a shower relaxing. Also, I would never be able to get myself back up again.
