Does trying to remember something drive you crazy?

yes it does bother me, I used to have a great memory, but
I am afraid that it slips now and again, it gets worse if the
Google can't help, I couldn't remember the word to describe
when somebody talks about a product in order to promote
and to encourage you to buy it, after maybe 15 minutes with
Google I moved on, before I did anything else, I remembered
that I was looking for "Testimonials", very embarrassing.

Mike

I know what you mean Mike.
I've been so upset with myself when the dumbest thing crosses my mind, and I can't figure out how to find the answer!
... It's usually about a person or a place or the timeframe of something happening. And I can't figure out what to do ...lol

Does trying to remember something drive you crazy?

All the time and it ain't getting better. Just today I could not bring the word curry to mind when describing what I had for lunch.

It is a problem I have long had, but it is slowly getting worse. For example when I was young I always had trouble remembering people's names, but less so than now. Guess I have to expect that to continue.

When it comes to planning to do something in the future, I do it in the now because I know I'll forget. I do forget names but it's usually not important. If I think it may be important I write it down. I did that with the names of the neighbors when I moved here.

Well, I have been going crazy again trying to remember something. Actually, I have been trying to remember for over a week. Many years ago, maybe 40yrs I was trying to remember the name of a woman that lived a few doors away from me when I lived in the City. I remembered her brother was on a TV show but I couldn't remember the show or her last name. Her nephew killed her when she wouldn't give him money for drugs. Today an old neighbor called me and she remembered the woman's last name and her brother was an actor on the TV show Head of the class. Their last name was Schilling. Now I wonder what I won't remember tomorrow.
