Dog rescued by helicopter

Here is a beautiful story (and video) that will put a smile on your face, as it maybe brings a tear to your eye.
This Labrador dog tried to go down a trail that went from the top of the cliff to the ocean, and then realized that she couldn't go any further, and neither could she turn around to go back.
The rescue team was called in but the only way they could get to Oreo was to use a helicopter and send in the rescue worker on a long rope.
It is always wonderful to read about the good things that people do to help out other people, and our beloved pets, as well; so you will enjoy reading this story, and watching the video of the amazing rescue.

I love to read these stories, it makes your heart melt, i saw one the other day over your way of a horse that was rescued he was flying through the air compliments of a helicopter, i appreciate all the men & women who do these rescues.:thankyou::clap:

Good to hear another successful rescue story for an animal! Kudos to all those who made the effort to save this dog's life. Back in December there was a story of a dog that was stranded on a mountain with a broken leg. The owners just left it there to die, because they didn't want to go through the trouble of bringing it down again. Luckily it was spotted, rescued, received medical care and was adopted into a loving home.

Oh wonderful!! I loved this so much:) ty HFL:)

It's usually never mentioned in these articles, but I wonder if the owner receives a bill from the Sheriff's department for services rendered?

I don't know anything about that, but in some cases people should get a bill. I'm not sure in this one. There's so few places folks can let their dogs off a leash, and why would the "park" have a trail with a dead end you can't turn around on. Maybe it wasn't a trail, I'll have to go back and read.

Hmm, I guess it wasn't a "park" trail. Really doesn't give a lot of info, but said "like a billy goat trail".

Happens a lot. Not the helicopter rescue, but dogs and people tumbling off the cliffs. Knew a guy who had a Jack Russell that would run up and down the sheer cliffs like magic. Never need a chopper for him.

True, the end of that path was small for the lab to be able to turn around in. I wonder if he wasn't a bit older fella too;) Sure happy to see these rescues. There was one about a horse being rescued, and a bridge was involved, been a lot of year since I saw it. It was awesome, talk about a job these men had, but they did'er!!

This is still the most amazing rescue I've ever seen.

It happened in the Netherlands in 2006, when more than 200 horses and foals were stranded for several days and destined to die cut off from land by floods without food or water...until a small band of women with huge guts and determination decided that not while there was breath in their body were those horses going to perish...

It still makes me cry everytime I see it after all these years..

Shows you decent, caring people still are in this world in spite of the other types.
