Dollar Tree (or a Dollar Store near you)

I gotta say, I do get some stuff there.
I know prices of certain things
and I know quality

Most the 'tools' there are Asian junk
However;
The little three pack of paint brushes hold up pretty good.
Not much shedding.
And....for a buck, can be tossed after one use.

The safety glasses are of better quality than the $7 ones at Home Dopey

I like their R2 gel pens (2 for a buck)
and their notebook paper

My lady gets her laundry soap there
and fruit juices

So, what do you guys like there?

I get dishwashing liquid and garbage bags there. I change the kitchen garbage bag daily and the price is just right for that. I also get small scented garbage bags (pink, blue, or white) that I use when I sift out the cat litter several times a day. I get the more sturdy lawn and leaf bags at Kroger for the heavier things.

Odds and ends at Poundland... or it's equivalent. Toilet block sanitisers, I can get there for 1/2 the price of the supermarket for the same brand.. . I buy paper plates there and notebooks..
Paint brushes when I want to do a job where I'll need to throw the brushes away afterwards.. hair ties..shampoo, and padded envelopes which are about 1/3rd of the price than the Post Office. Batteries... .. and their own brand antiseptic cleaning wipes are a big improvement and much cheaper than the Big brand names ..

We don't have a poundland or equivelent near me, or in the next nearest 2 towns.. so I stock up when I do go... but if I was to make the trip for just one or 2 things it would definitely be Batteries, and Antiseptic wipes...

I like to go to the dollar store and let my wife know that I am going there to spend my retirement check and ask her if she wants anything. I like to buy the chips, potato, corn, pretzels and other types usually 5 or 7 bags at a time. I like the blue knee elastic slip on braces, they help me and keep my knees warm also. At the electrical section I check out the light bulbs and computer accessories and buy some. I will buy air fresheners there, soaps, disinfectants, candles. I like to buy the solar lights there and the small solar figurines that will spin and move.

We have Dollar Tree, Dollar General, All for a Dollar and A dollar or more.
I buy greeting cards, paper goods, artificial flowers, shampoo, Some garden supplies, seeds, They have pot inserts that cost triple in Walmart.
I stay away from the drugs, I've read they have a way of making boxes look like the name brand and can also be expired.

Oh yes, I forgot pickles. They have a brand I've never heard of and come from some country I don't think exists, but they taste really good.

There use to be a .99 cents store in a neighboring city; everything in the store sold for .99 cents. They didn't have anything for sale over that price. Maybe it was a different store.

If I recall correctly, that was the first of its kind.
Maybe 20 years ago (?)

No worries

I spun mine off a thread that talked about Dollar Tree

I think SF can handle it

''Sides, I'm sure you got more input than I ever thought of having on shopping
That same thread was the catalyst for my post. I added the link to my post after you had "liked" my reply Gary.
