Why not just have it printed on a shirt and wear it to your appointments?
Less than $35 and a t shirt is reusable, thus helping the environment.
You have a point. That's what I do as well. Then I just tell the doctor's office the weight.I no longer allow them to weigh me at the doctor's office. I weigh myself, optimally after a BM, in the morning on my digital scale. That gives my true weight. At the doctor's office with shoes, clothing (especially winter ones) is not one's true weight.
Yes, that's what I do, just cancel doctors. I haven't been to a doctor in 14 years.
How about the blood pressure test, I'm sure that there's some people that freak out over that one.
How about just cancelling the medical visit altogether, you how doctors are always trying to ruin your happiness by telling you things you don't want to hear, like stop smoking-stop drinking-start exercising!![]()
You make some good points! Yes, I agree that the weight is due to the dress and shoes, etc. But, I always questioned how accurate the weights were for all those millions of people who have been weighed in doctors' offices. They're also including the clothing and shoes. That should be considered. So in all honesty, the whole country weighs a few pounds less than what is recorded in the doctors' office. Right? No one's going to strip down just to be weighed.Do you weigh yourself at home with clothes and shoes on? Are your appointments morning or afternoon? Both things can make a difference. Next time you're going weigh yourself 'au naturale' at home first, get dressed for appt and then weigh yourself again. That might narrow the discrepancy if you usually weigh yourself naked at home. 7lds seems like a lot...but of course climate (in winter i'm wearing thermal underclothes sweaters and often lined boots that could easily account for that.
Sorry; what is "BK"?
I find the blood pressure test extremely painful. It's like someone is pinching me as hard as they can.

Same here.I find the blood pressure test extremely painful. It's like someone is pinching me as hard as they can.
Sorry..typo. meant BP..blood pressure. I fixed itSorry; what is "BK"?
I don't have Medicare yet, but your advice is important for everybody, regardless of payment method.Ever look at your Medicare statement? My doctors charge separately for talking about weight. No doctor talks to me about weight, but they always state they did to get paid for it. Crooks.
I agree however too many doctors try to stay neutral anymore.A good doctor will usually "recommend" changes that can improve a person's health. Excessive Weight is the root cause of nearly 1/3rd of our nations health problems....across ALL age groups...per data at the CDC.
Yes...I forgot to mention that I tell the nurse what my weight was the morning of my office visit. You have a point. That's what I do as well. Then I just tell the doctor's office the weight.
