Donuts..donuts...or favorite what with coffee this morning?

.....The warm greasy doughnuts from that dirty looking old machine were wonderful on a cold winter morning. 🐷🐷🐷
Perfect description of Krispy Kreme donuts..."warm, greasy". One donut I won't eat. My favorite of all time are Shipley's Donuts. I even looked into a franchise to start one up - as a retirement project. $1M startup franchise fee! 😭😭😭 I cried buckets for weeks. Those donuts are the best!!

A toasted hot cross bun or a Kit Kat.
I’ve never had a donut. What’s a Kristy Kreme?
Krispy Creme is a donut place that makes all sorts of donuts. Donuts are usually made with a yeast dough and then fried in oil til brown. Krispy Creme is a donut franchise business, as is Dunkin Donuts and Shipley's Donuts...America lives on donuts. LOL.

When abroad, I drink coffee. When in the UK, it's tea. No good reason for that, but it's a habit.

But as for what I have with my tea...... sadly I have had to give up most good things. Cookies are somewhere between 50 to 100 calories per cookie. A "Dunkin' Powdered Donut" 330 calories. A Beignet is somewhere between 100 to 200 calories, depending on the size.

I do try to stay at 2500 calories a day - so basically, I have to deny myself any good food. :D

It's Blueberry yogurt, along with a simple bakery treat. Sometimes we add blueberries to the yogurt. A good start to the day.:coffee:🍩

When we lived up on Long Island, many moons ago Entenmann's made a rum cake that was really excellent. I have not seen it in many years.

And Carbs... If you think like a diabetic, it's easier, and you are already more than halfway there. It's like I love BarBQ sauce. But to make sure I don't eat too much of it, I call it CarbBQ Sauce.
Im not diabetic Im just overly fluffy but the husband was so I know the drill. I got good a finding low cal stuff.

If you like BBQ sauce you need to check out GHughes products. Their Hickory BBQ is 10 cal for 2T.
Theres a lot to try. Im not very adventurous. All the ones Ive tried were good. So far Ive tried catsup, steak sauce, and orange ginger marinade. All are 5 cal for 1T. G Hughes Sugar Free Sauce

So, on Coffee Corner @Meanderer posted the following picture. That powdered donut photo reminded me how much I love those six pack sleeves of powdered donuts with my coffee, especially when I am on a road trip!

Oh, the power of suggestion! What do you enjoy with coffee if calories or sugar were no problem? View attachment 399682

Just what I need when Im trying to diet. Food Porn. :D

If sugar were no problem I would be whipping up some ten thousand calorie homemade dessert like a Lane Cake or Lemon Bars.
I am a first cousin to the Cookie Monster. So I have a list. :D

I'm jonesin' for an apple fritter from Dunkin'! When we lived in Eureka, there was this little donut shop that made the best apple fritters... It got bought out by a Korean couple. They were very nice and the quality of their donuts were just as good as the previous owner had made.

Then they started making Korean food in the same tiny kitchen, and that made the donuts taste weird. I mean, you just ain't lived until you've had a Tteokbokki flavored apple fritter.
