Way too pretty to eat.
Me too, I can get away with a miserable small slice occasionally. As a lousy diabetic, donuts are a "no-no". Yeah, some skinny dietician will say you can just have a nibble, but my arm just won't stop grabbing donuts till they are all gone. Bad, bad arm.![]()
No saving in this house, my husband can eat them very quickly. You can save donuts? I never knew that!Such willpower you must have!! Am very impressed!
Phenomenal will power!Any sweets like donuts I save for desert after supper. I like the filled donuts with icing and only eat 1/2 at a time. Calories, you know.
Since we're deep into the realm of science fiction, I seem to recall that a cheese danish went well with coffee. What do you enjoy with coffee if calories or sugar were no problem?
Perfect description of Krispy Kreme donuts..."warm, greasy". One donut I won't eat. My favorite of all time are Shipley's Donuts. I even looked into a franchise to start one up - as a retirement project. $1M startup franchise fee!.....The warm greasy doughnuts from that dirty looking old machine were wonderful on a cold winter morning.![]()
Broken cookies have zero calories so it stands to reason donuts with holes in them have no calories....Since we're deep into the realm of science fiction, I seem to recall that a cheese danish went well with coffee.![]()
Krispy Creme is a donut place that makes all sorts of donuts. Donuts are usually made with a yeast dough and then fried in oil til brown. Krispy Creme is a donut franchise business, as is Dunkin Donuts and Shipley's Donuts...America lives on donuts. LOL.A toasted hot cross bun or a Kit Kat.
I’ve never had a donut. What’s a Kristy Kreme?
That is a work of art!! Beaufiul cupcakes!
When we lived up on Long Island, many moons ago Entenmann's made a rum cake that was really excellent. I have not seen it in many years. It's Blueberry yogurt, along with a simple bakery treat. Sometimes we add blueberries to the yogurt. A good start to the day.

Im not diabetic Im just overly fluffy but the husband was so I know the drill. I got good a finding low cal stuff. And Carbs... If you think like a diabetic, it's easier, and you are already more than halfway there. It's like I love BarBQ sauce. But to make sure I don't eat too much of it, I call it CarbBQ Sauce.
So, on Coffee Corner @Meanderer posted the following picture. That powdered donut photo reminded me how much I love those six pack sleeves of powdered donuts with my coffee, especially when I am on a road trip!
Oh, the power of suggestion! What do you enjoy with coffee if calories or sugar were no problem? View attachment 399682
