Today on the Doctor Oz show Dr. Sanjay Gupta answers questions about CBD and whether it relieves pain.

While CBD is effective against pain, not all products are legit. Investigations have been made discovering that many CBD products aren’t being labelled properly.

Every product should undergo a product analysis that’s added to the label. Many products are getting made in different countries where there is no FDA approval and sold elsewhere.

Some people are smoking CBD oil with synthetic ingredients that can be toxic and life threatening.

Research is suggested before purchasing

An informative show worth watching

There isn't one type of pain, so there isn't one type of pain reduction medication., or therapy. What is appropriate and effective for one type of pain is useless in another. It's akin to saying, Aunt Mary felt better after her gall bladder removal, so we should all get our gall bladders removed. Also, there is so much misinformation on the net about. pain medication and therapies, which like Keesha stated, leads people to do absolutely dumb things to their health.

It's been stated here before, your pharmacists is much more knowledgeable
about drugs, drug reaction, what pain-what's best for your pain, and all
types of answers to what's-what.

Yes your pharmacist is more knowledgeable about conventional drugs, the side effects as well as drug interaction. Unfortunately most doctors don’t know anything about cannabis.

If you are seeking holistic or natural treatments then you are best off seeking a naturopath doctor who do study and understand the chemical interactions and side effects of holistic products

What’s very unfortunate are the kids who tried synthetic marijuana. This stuff is seriously toxic and dangerous. It’s unfortunate that the closer marijuana gets to legalization the easier it is for these dangerous products which are 100% legal to be sold and used with devastating results.

Now that CBD is in the spotlight, once again bogus dangerous products are getting sold and used which are life threatening. I don’t expect any seniors here to be foolish enough to smoke CBD oil but many of these oils actually contain zero CBD’s so are a complete waste of money.

Real CBD oil ‘should’ work on most people as a body rub to relieve pain.

I think the GoGreen product that Gary'O recommended and I've been using for a long time (bought 8oz of balm today), is pretty well tested, certainly effective.

People have to use their brains sometimes, common sense tells me that smoking any kind of oil into your lungs is not a great idea.....or using synthetic anything. Why do people even use synthetic marijuana when they can get the more natural and safer plant?

Just like people dying from vaping because the flavored stuff they're using has some kind of vitamin E oil in it.

It seems like many members here use GoGreen with good results. I wondered why kids would use synthetic marijuana instead of the real thing and I’m wondering if it’s because it’s legal so they think it must be ok. Maybe they think since it’s legal it’s can’t be dangerous . It IS the same thing as e-vapes and the juice stuff they use. Vitamin E shouldn’t be heated since it oxidizes I think. Crazy stuff. People dying from vaping. Most of them kids. What a shame.

I’m going to add that link here so there’s reference to legit CBD balm.

Before I did anything I went to talk to my pharmacist. I have known that lady a long time. She looked at the meds asked me what I was looking for. Then quizzed me about my health. I am following her guide lines. Had to buy a magnifier with a light to read the dam bottles.....lol :devilish: :devilish: 🤪🤪

Sometime in 2018, we ordered (online) both 500mg and 1000mg Go Green Hemp/CBD Extract Balm Salve in Eucalyptus and Lavender scent. Each were 1oz cans. The 500mg cost $29.99 and the 1000mg cost $55.99. The 500mg didn't help my left shoulder OA much, but the 1000mg helped more. Neither done an excellent job. My wife uses both on her fingers sometimes.

Then, we read about Ambary Gardens Deep Rub CBD Salve 500mg online and bought a 2oz jar of it for $115. Doesn't last as long as I like it to, but it sure works! For us, the Ambary Gardens CBD Salve was well worth the $115 we paid for it. Bought this sometime last year and still have more than half of it left.

Am still using the 50mg Tramadol that my VA doctor prescribes for me. Only take one a day and do it every-other day. It completely takes away my pain for around 6 hours, then I have to rely on either a dab of Deep Rub or an 800mg Ibuprofen (also prescribed by VA doctor.

The other day, bought a CBD Patch to try out on my shoulder. It cost $10 and is 10mg. We have a CBD store here that sells them. They are rated quite high online. It is called, Mary's nutritionals Elite Transdermal Patch. I'll let everyone know how it works, when I use it.

We still have a little left in both of those 4oz. containers I bought in Nov. of '19 according to this thread, I forgot when I bought them, but it was a Thanksgiving sale. I just bought 8 more ounces with discount code JULY4 for 30% off. The one I use is the Calming Purple Terpine Salve @ 1,000 mg. strength.

I use it at least once a week on my lower back, and have used it for some foot pain. Just a few days ago I was cleaning out the camper and did something with my right arm and shoulder, so I've been using it there too. Love the smell and it works better, in my opinion, than any other pain rubs like BenGay, etc.

It comes in one ounce sizes too, but after I initially tried it, I went for the 4oz. The 1,000mg strength cost $64.99-$19.49=$45.50. I ordered two, so my bill is $90.99. I use very little at a time, you don't need too much.

Still have a good supply of the topical balm, haven't even opened up the ones I bought in July. Have a little bit left in the old containers, my husband just put some on my lower back for me a couple of hours ago. We decided to try the oil again, there's a 25% off promo code good until the 11th, FALL25.

I bought two one ounce bottles of the highest potency CBD oil, orange flavor, 2042mg. Will post once we start using the oil for awhile and can experience the benefits. With such a high dosage, we shouldn't have to use too much daily.

One guy in my diabetes support group swears by CBD Ointment he buys on E-Bay. He said in two weeks applying it to his feet which were completely numb from neuropathy, he has feeling again, which reduces his risk of falls. He's 82.
I haven't tried it; my neuropathy isn't so bad.....yet.
