Duplicates in your house/apartment

Lots of duplicate stuff. I swear my previous house ate scissors. I never could find a pair and would buy more. I used to say that when I died, whoever cleaned out my house would wonder if I had a scissor fetish. I didn't find that many when we moved though so I wonder what happened to them.
I once accidently dropped some needles on the floor. I looked and looked, even with a flashlight, could not find a single one of them. They fell from a table to the floor. WTH? Then a day or so later there was a report of people on an airplane finding needles in their turkey sandwiches. There was an investigation, but nothing led to an answer as to how they got there. I think I know but It's too nuts to consider.

Yes, it's a huge related topic in itself:
Where do, all the missing duplicates and triplicates go, and, how do they get there? o_O:eek::LOL::ROFLMAO:

Pens, we all know, are extremely sneaky by nature, and unusually quick and agile for creatures of their size.

But a vacuum cleaner? I mean the spare, back-up one....kept in case the newer better one breaks down. How could it find its current hiding spot so well?

After awhile when hubby died, my sons started cleaning out his garage...
7 tape measures, at last count 11 hammers and untold stock of screwdrivers and bits for the screw gun and drills..
The boys were perplexed,he had gotten quite forgetful, if he couldn’t find the one he was looking for he would go to the hardware store for a new one! LOL

OMG...he was an amateur... with 7 tape measures and 11 hammers,I'll take a picture of my husbands' tools in the shed when I get the chance, he probably has more than 100 screwdrivers, etc...

Just throwing this here.....is there a market for antique tools?

I have got all my dad's old tools laying around on the side my (their) house. And so many old sprinkler parts. Not plastic ones either.
My nephew will get his old anvil? I think that's what it's called.

Can i sell them? Lots of dupes.

There's very much a market for antique tools in the UK, obviously don't know about the USA

More than duplicates....I can never find a tape measure when I want one, hence I now have one in every room....scissors are numerous....baking trays. I'm ashamed to say this but I have more than one coffee machine. I wasn't happy with the one I had so bought another. I have three irons...I keep buying purses (wallets) because I'm still looking for the perfect one.
At least I'm keeping the economy moving by spending money.
what's an iron??

Had a great art teacher many years ago who told us that artists are perfect scroungers as one never knows how useful someone's junk may become when creating art. I took his word to heart and therefore, have more stuff laying around that may appear useless to the untrained eye but has a valued place in some future fantastic creation. I've got ideas, baby. I've got ideas.
