They are not the only corporate bad guys. How about the Olin Family who used to make DDT until Rachel Carson exposed them in "Silent Spring." Furthermore, Saltville, Virginia is now a ghost town. It used to produce chlorine. Birth defects were common. What is good for business may not be good for the common person!

Didn't watch the whole thing because it's late but I will and will share this on Facebook too. I had Teflon pots for awhile and got rid of them. Wasn't thinking about the chemical getting into our water and bloodstreams though!

If you look hard enough, you will probably find that just about everything is bad for you. If Dupont hadn't developed 'Teflon', then somebody else would have. I use and will continue to use 'Teflon' coated frying pans. They have excellent non-stick properties. I also use PTFE sprays to lubricate sliding doors etc.

My other saucepans are mostly Hard anodised aluminium or stainless steel with an encapsulated aluminium base.. Aghhh Aluminium - oh dear that's poisonous isn't it - don't panic, don't panic (UK readers will understand the quote)

At one point in time the DuPont family owned James Madison's home in Orange, Virginia, Montpelier. I remember that fact from when I toured it.

PTFE....Plumbers Tape for Everything, is what we call it in this house...
