Love this photo .. beautiful birds @-Oy-The Common Eider is the UK's biggest and fastest flying duck. When I was a lad we went on holliday up to North East coast to see them. Now there's a good population here around Morecambe bay! Two pairs at high tide today. The down off the female's breast is used to make Eiderdown blankets.

North West when I was a kid yes - but between Liverpool and Manchester. About a 4hr drive to the NE coast where we went to see Eider
