Just do not try to claim that there is equal opportunity in this nation. Far from it!

True, some people get a much better start in life than others but opportunities are there for anyone who will take advantage of them.
In a free economy there is no way to avoid that. Two brothers "leave the nest" at the same time. Harry works hard and succeeds. He eventually starts a company providing employment for 500 people. Herbie, on the other hand, gets a decent job and enjoys the good life spending it as fast as he gets it. They each have sons. When the time is right, Harry helps his son and he gets a good start in business. He may give him some money or a job in the company. But Herbie's son is on his own.
The above describes what some see as inequality. There is only one answer to that - government control of the economy, allocating money out as it sees fit. But, call such a person a Marxist and they get their panties in a wad - but they can never come up with an alternative. Oh sure, some try to sneak up on their Marxist economy with, "Oh no. Everybody keeps their own money. We'll just balance things off with taxation". Of course they also want to regulate the daylights out of businesses so that while they are theoretically free market entities, their freedom is severely limited.
