Eight year retirement anniversary.

Still getting my retirement legs here, mine is 2021 Sept 1st. But the first year was a hassle as it was forced and took a year nearly for first SS check.

I'm just thinking how fortunate it was I hammered my 401K.

No Matter The Trial

Through the shadowed cobwebs of my mind

My worries sift in syncopated time.

Broken, confused, wrapped in sorrowful gloom

In a corner of my anemic tomb.

What’s this? A fissure leaking humor in

Trailed by sunshine in the shape of a grin?

This transfusing succor gives wings for flight

Out of my forever despair filled plight.

The cobwebs dissolve, the shadows erase

As I wing my way to the healing place

Where one gains courage to find a smile

No matter the stress, no matter the trial.

I never really had a job. My husband believed he should be the only one working. I did work from home a few times but he felt he should be the only one working to support the family.

Y'all are beginners, I retired in 1997. Enjoyed traveling around in a small trailer a lot, but now just hang around the condo.
1995 here & never looked back. Traveled to everywhere we wanted outside the U. S. Traveled after retirement everywhere we wanted inside the U.S some places more than once. Now we enjoy the variety available to us locally. Life is good.

2002 here. Hopped on my motorcycle and took off to see the Us and Canada; then took off for Europe and Asia.. Paid off my house in 2003 and from then on paid cash for everything - and paid off credit cards in full every month - no more "over-time" payments! Yay!

April 1st 2015 was my first full day of retirement......come to find out being unemployed ain't so bad after all. :)
Hope you enjoying your still found new life, stay blessed. Jesus loves you and he always will. Hope you get 20 more years
