If any elderly folks here have suffered abuse by doctors, please post your experiences and you State. I was abused by two doctors here in Connecticut 7 years ago and still suffer from the pain. However, I have learned how to cope and at 86 am still living a productive life.

im sorry ..what happened?

The more research I do into the abuse that big industries ( like the medical industry ), I am finding that the majority don't care and even cover up their abuse...tabacoo, oil, military, pharmaceutical, etc.... This is something I have learned to accept. They are going to abuse me, so get use to it. Occasionally someone can strike back and make a difference, but the vast majority of us will remain victims.

The only abuse I've witnessed were doctors (surgeons) who knew how to conduct surgery but were guessing about anything outside of that. Like a car mechanic trying to fix an infrastructure problem. Taking apart roads and bridges to find the problem will only make things worse.

I went for a pedicure at 79 because it was getting difficult for me. I tried my dermatologist since I concluded nail cutting had something to do with a skin doctor. Little did I know he was going through a bitter divorce for beating his wife and kids. He took it out on me. When I complained to a foot doctor, he hit my feet with his fists while calling me a "squealer" and I have had pain ever since. I still suffer from the pain at 86. I heard later from one of the skin doctor's former nurses that he has continued maiming a dozen patients every week some of whom may have died from the beatings.

Look up Dr. Duntsch of Dallas, Texas. and Dr. Swango of Illinois. They maimed and murdered hundreds over more than 20 years. Look up Dr. Shipman of Manchester, England, who murdered over 1,000 until he finally retired.

When I took my case to the police and Dept. of Public Health, they both told me doctors have a legal right to maim and murder unless at least a dozen are murdered in a single year and the families of the victims can prove it in court.

Sorry that you experienced that! We do need to be on our toes, excuse the pun!

The number they gave you is baloney mitch. 1 proven murder is enough. I'm talking about intentional murder, not mistakes or malpractice resulting in death. That was so phoney it is sickening.

What bothers me is when they see you up there in years, like my mom who is 87. Suddenly, they don't want to do this or that because of her age. Also, I have seen a doctor more than once ridicule my mom saying she's making things up in her mind. I know she's not. I have talked my mom into not going back to these doctors that didn't respect her.

Wow that is really scary, I didn't know such things happened. I try to check Yelp reviews before going to new doctors, but they aren't terribly dependable.

I've said it before & some people don't want to believe it (especially those who have doctors in their families):
Many people choose the medical profession because they enjoy seeing people suffer. And if they don't see enough suffering, they're willing to create more on their own.
I met one such dentist years ago; he deliberately caused me unnecessary pain during a root canal & refused to give me needed anesthetic & told me to "Hold Still."
I got up, got in his face & said, "Get the f--- out & have your partner come in & complete this procedure, or this will be your last day of practice."

We know there are the same types of individuals in law enforcement - who enjoy hurting/killing people.
