Elderly Lady

Hi my elderly lady neighbour. I am elderly myself. Gaslights to he Liverpudlian builder son. Who comes round with his workmates and bangs. She does not go out which is fine i think older people are more house centered. I am constantly worried the banging will start again. She is not gainfully employed.
And i think she spends her time sipping tea and watching tele. I would not dream of trying to talk to her. She is wall side in a semi bungalow. I work at the age of 60 as a book publisher. Long hours even 14 hours a day i do. I am constantly afraid the banging will start again.
Also if i am being honest she is not a particularly nice person. And does not wish me well. I long for active talkative gainfully employed neighbours. If the banging/building was not recurrent it would be fine

Are you in Liverpool ?

Your living arrangements, if that's what you're descibing to us, seem very stressful. Hopefully you will find topics of interest in the forum to participate in, and that may provide you with a nice distraction.

Thanks for your reply. I like working. But maybe less than 14 hours?

Hi Paco i'll fly to Missouri and go for a walk there. I like working long hours. Its just the banging/ building work.
Yep, the noise of construction can really be distracting. I had a home music studio and was working on some new original music parts when we had a new roof put on. It was crazy. Trying to contemplate the music my attention span lasted untill the next bang. I finally wrote 2 songs for the roofing crew and gave them a cd of the music. :)
