Heard earlier on the news that ... Elvis's boyhood home was for sale/auction ....... estimated to be worth 30-50,000 dollars ?? I'm betting it will go for much.much more What say you SF ?

If I remember correctly from reading in the past, Elvis family members might have actually built the house in Tupelo themselves. I'm not sure. You can see the shotgun house online.

Not exactly "a house" any longer .... a Do-It-Yourself Project .. they are selling dismantled pieces of the house.

Currently the house is stored in Mississippi, and only the original parts of the home that existed when the Presleys lived there were kept, according to Marren.

I think if you had the time and the money it could be made into a cute cottage. I don't understand why the state has not stepped in and made it a historical landmark and kept it repaired. It could bring in tourism dollars to the city and the state.

I don't remember ever seeing the house that is pictured before now. This isn't the shotgun house in Tupelo. Maybe a house where the Presley's lived before the shotgun, or what is the history of this house? There have been a lot of distractions today, so maybe I missed something.
