Europeans Share "Hard Truths" About We Americans

We have the gun culture because Europe did not send their best. Just like what we are getting from down south.
The US is too big for the military and local law enforcement to keep safe. The worst that has happened on our turf was 9/11. The terrorists had to use a plane to inflict the most damage. If citizens were not armed, what would deter countries from trying to take a chunk of the US, splitting it with an Eastern Wall? Citizens are not a militia, but knowing most are armed keeps stranger danger at bay.

Politicians use the 2nd amendment for click bait voting by appealing to those who think someone can actually repeal the 2nd amendment when the government knows what I just said. The Constitution gives Congress power to regulate what arms citizens can own. But they do not because people might try to overthrow the government...

Let's talk about your insult. Are you Native American? Unless you are, you and your family came from somewhere. I am Scots/Irish descent and every generation of my family dating back to the Revolution fought in the militia and military. My family gave lives so YOU could sit on a high horse and insult the immigrants who came to this country to either escape religious persecution and/or wanting a better life--Land! Opportunities! Freedom! Yeah baby, that's history. It's shameful that YOU do not know your country's history but feel taller insulting millions of people, which actually makes you incredibly small.

To argue that point Pink Floyd and other innovative music bands came from Europe, none of which I would call conservative.
I am not a big fan of Pink Floyd. Same stuff, and sounds the same a lot. Sure there are innovative bands, music, and trends in Europe. Especially in the Electronic music genre. But, the diversity, and new innovative styles usually come from the coasts in America.

And so? Its a known fact that most of the early settlers were rebels who left European countries because of persecution. BTW yes, I am mostly N/A With a Scots rebel thrown in for good measure. Truth may feel insulting to those who would attempt to deny it.

The Americans defeated the British Army at Saratoga in October 1777. Having lost America the Brits turned to Australia. The first settlement, at Sydney, consisted of about 850 convicts and their Marine guards and officers, led by Governor Arthur Phillip. They arrived at Botany Bay in the "First Fleet" of 9 transport ships accompanied by 2 small warships, in January, 1788.

850 convicts, you would be forgiven for thinking that Australia was about to become the gun culture of the southern hemisphere. Far from it, firearm homicide rates in the US are 33 times greater than in Australia. So much for Europe not sending their best.
Australia got the criminals, America got the rebels who were persecuted out of the countries, most of it over religion.

Deep Purple, Rolling stones, Black Sabbath, Nazareth, The Who...Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Judas Priest.. Def Leppard ...Led Zepelin, Sex Pistols....to name just a very few
There have been hundreds of more "famous" bands/artists from America. It is a little bit bigger, with a very wide variety of cultures. The United States has a rich and diverse musical landscape, making it impossible to list every "famous" artist or band.

Most of the list is Europeans being unaware of the US. Yes, medical care is cheaper in Europe, but taxes are markedly higher in Europe to pay for it. And yes, Americans are loud and chatty, and no, we do not understand we are a nationality. Yes, we are a car culture, but Europeans don't understand how big and spread out the US is.
I think the only valid point, applied to both Americans and Europeans is not learning enough of the languages, history and customs of the nation they are visiting. Being ignorant of those things is like a brick wall between you and the nation you're visiting.

An American Singer Entertainer got robbed by knife in London.
Wisdom says avoid dangerous areas in every City of the World.

Personally, I have no need on a bucket list to travel all over the world.
I saw they allowed a Cruise ship, threat of Cholera to Dock the other day.

The Mauritius government said the sick passengers who had been isolated after falling
ill in fact had mild cases of the viral infection gastroenteritis. Africa has a Cholera outbreak.

I was across Canada in my 20's to Niagra Falls, Get you wooden barrel here!
Didn't care for French street signs. Same With Mexico. Nada. Like home base best.

Guns aren’t all bad. We have competition meets in different classes. They are fun (to me) to go to and watch these men and women compete for the Top Gun Awards. I have seen many women outperform men, especially with using a rifle or shotgun. I saw one lady in the shotgun category hit 50 ducks (clay pigeons) out of 50, to win. Her male competitor hit 49/50. Great match.

I spoke to one pistol shooter who told me he paid $2100 for his 9mm. I think it was a B&T. He took second.re
Guns are NOT all bad, I agree. We wouldn't be a country if our ancestors hadn't had guns. And there is target shooting which is fun and hurts no one.

There must be something more to the gun debate. It seems to be another reason for us to hate each other instead of focusing on our similarities.

how do you think other countries came to be?... none of the rest of us needed guns to exist

everywhere there are people is likely messed up. The excuse for human flaws and failures consist of our own imperfect that causes harm and death throughout the world.

if a human model were to achieve perfection would that person not make mistakes? Impossible to gauge perfection because there are no models compare. And perfection is subjective to possible variables.

I appreciate what I have here in accordance to my knowledge of life is limited with boundaries of knowing only what I have seen in my tiny existence of the world I live in.

the ying and yang of intelligence and ignorance, an intellectual person may use intelligence to fit in while the less intelligent person may use ignorance as bliss to enjoy the party.
Different spectrums achieving the same outcome.
