Since police behavior is a hot topic these days, you can relate your personal experiences.
I was pulled over three times in 78 years, so not too bad I guess. Twice by local cops and once by state police.
The local cops were out to raise revenue in my opinion and had speed traps set for that purpose. One got me on the way to work at the bottom of a hill with the speed limit at some ridiculously low number. I paid the fine because I didn't have the time to fight it.
The second was the same idea of setting the limit low and waiting to pounce. I fought this one and won because the copper had the wrong date on the ticket.
When I was 19, a guy I knew and myself got to arguing whose car was faster. Mine was a 1952 Mercury, and his was a 1953 Ford, both flat-head V8's with sticks on the column. We started on a long entrance ramp onto the interstate, and as he was beating me by 1/2 a fender, we saw the flashing red "gum-ball machine" in the rear view mirror. We slowed and were motioned over and told to come and sit in the cruiser. He thanked us for pulling over because in pursuit, they never know what they are going to run into. We were cooperative and lost our licenses for 90 days. I told the trooper that I was going into the service in a month hoping for a break, but no break was to be had. I would not have needed a license anyway in basic so it was not too bad. Over all, the trooper didn't seem like a bad guy, but then we weren't any trouble either.
