Ever seen anyone dressed same as you?

Yes on a very rare occasion another lady comes to a ballroom dance with the same skirt / same top on as me because we both buy
our dancing skirts from Nonib which is a upmarket ladies wear shop.
We only buy / wear good quality Tshirt types of tops with maybe a little bling … with jersey types of skirts …nothing fancy just something better everyday wear

My best friend and co-worker, back in the day, used to clothes-shop together. We bought the same hot-pants outfit .. and wore them on the same day, when she took me to visit her parents & siblings. When we got off the bus, her older brother said "what are you girls wearing?!" We were in our early 20's, and thought we were pretty cool :)

Only a handful of times in my life I have seen a woman wearing the same top or dress. It felt very strange.
We are all unique in what we wear but most of us buy mass produced clothes so it's surprising we do not see more people wearing the same items.
I see people dressed in the same stuff all the time..it's clear they've bought it from Primark or Matalan or the supermarkets...or Marks

last year I bought a top from Tesco... on the day I wore it to go shopping (not at Tesco).. I saw 3 seprate women wearing the same top. I vowed not to buy clothes from a supermarket again...

When we were teenagers my sister and I would go dancing ( Disco).. every weekend.. and we always wore identical outfits. Whatever was in fashion we'd wear it that weekend.. ...we thought we looked wonderful... we must have looked like Book-Ends..:ROFLMAO:

:ROFLMAO: Five years at a girls' high school, all wearing the same clobber.
Make that 11 years for us.. all wearing the same school uniform from infant school until we left Senior school....Navy Blue skirts, Pale blue or white shirts, blue striped tie.. Navy Blue Blazer..

My DD wore Black skirt, White shirt, Maroon striped tie, , Maroon cardigan , and Maroon Blazer ...they had changed the rules by the time she went to senior school, and girls when they got into 5th year they could wear trousers instead of skirts...

Now that same school has changed again, and altho' the uniform is still the same.. they allow girls of all ages to wear Trousers in the Winter terms

Uniforms don't count - lol!

No I don’t often see others wearing the same style of clothes as me unless I buy clothes from Costco cause then I do. A good portion of my wardrobe comes from second hand stores like value village.when I shop there I’m usually purchasing very unique high end clothes for a fraction of the price. The chance of seeing someone dressed the same as me decreases dramatically

Patty. About Value Village in Canada. I used to think it was a charity company, that helped to support various local charity organizations. I recently found out that Value Village is a private, for profit US corporation, that is listed on the New York stock exchange. I used to take a lot of things to Value Village here in Toronto. I don't do that any more, instead I donate to the Salvation Army, instead. JIM.

Like you, I make my donations to places other than Value Village now. For a time they said they were donating to charities and then it became clear it was a token amount. They quit the pretence. If I’m in the vicinity, I’ll go in the store. If you’re willing to search you’ll find some items are high end.

It happens! 😉🤭😂

Noooo wayyy! 😱 That’s truly shocking. I also thought value Villiage was a Canadian corporation that recycled clothes worn by Canadian people AND that the profits went back into Canadians needing a helping hand. That’s VERY misleading. My husband even thought that the workers there were volunteers. THAT I knew wasn’t true. I shall have to reconsider my shopping choices as well as who I’m donating my things to.
Thanks Jim.

Let me see, striped blazer, two tone spectator shoes, white, spearpoint collared shirt, fedora hat, Argyle socks and blue & gold neck tie. It's amazing what you can buy in Primark and Matalan.
When I was in middle school, a very popular girl in my class wore the same top that I was wearing. She was very busty and I had mosquito bites. I never wore that top again.
"Mosquito bites." It took a while for the penny to drop, as we Brits say, when we don't understand the metaphor. Mosquito bites, cracked me up.

I worked in a department with about 70 women in the 1970's.

When Avon started selling clothing through their catalog, some of the older ladies went crazy about it.

It wasn't unusual to see five of the same blouses being worn on the same day.
That must have been hilarious.
