Questions are mounting around the whereabouts of Sarah Ferguson and her daughters, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, following the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor earlier today.
There has been no word from any of the women of the former House of York, although
Princess Beatrice's husband,
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, was recently spotted spending time in Palm Beach,
Florida.
His trip to the US saw him visit the same area where Ferguson and the princesses dined with disgraced paedophile financier
Jeffrey Epstein, just days after the end of his prison sentence for trafficking a minor for prostitution.
Today there is still no sign of Ferguson, 66, Eugenie, 35, or his wife Beatrice, 37.
The former
Duchess of York is said to be lying low abroad amid the growing outrage over her ex-husband Andrew's, and her own, links to Epstein.
Andrew was detained by officers from Thames Valley Police shortly before 8am this morning, on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
As he sits in police custody, his brother King Charles III issued a statement in which he said he had the 'deepest concern' about the allegations and insisted that 'the law must take its course'.
He was not warned in advance about Andrew's arrest, it is understood. The Prince and Princess of Wales have also made clear they support Charles' statement.
