An ex tennis pro was wrestled to the ground and falsely arrested for identity theft after being misidentified by a witness. Some are claiming bias since he was African American.

Identity thieves are criminals and should be considered dangerous but basically taking them to the ground right away without even an attempt at a peaceful arrest? Cuffs taken off after a minute but the cop who wrestled him to ground refuses to apologize.

Mistaken identity, for sure, not just a claim. Sad on so many levels, but at the same time, there's still more here than meets the eye and I have to say, I'm still learning I need to get more facts before I make a full conclusion. I've read a little more about the reason for the officer’s actions and if it is true, well the fault is more with the department than with the lone acting officer though I would say he has some fault in how he handled things after. But, I'm taking into consideration in the heat of the moment and him receiving a call from team members as stated in the article if true, I have to give some more thought in my judgment. See article after the mix-up fiasco pics. I really hate how, sometimes, the media uses us all to go at it against each other without all the info and we aren't smart enough to wait for all the details ever as we always fall right in line for the bait either way. We all do it from time to time. Let me be clear, I'm not condoning the action of the officer, I was as disgusted as most, I'm just trying to understand all the circumstances that went into such a crazy situation, there are bad cops who don't deserve to wear the badge and then there are cops thrust into bad situations and mishandlings, not so much that the cop was a bad one, here, I'm yet to be certain.
