Excitement..........

At a birthday party for me when I was about 5 years old; lots of friends around the table having fun and laughing.

My mom always made special birthday cakes from scratch and decorated them to be some kind of thing--remembering a cake that had a white dress in frosting.
 
I think it was of being taken to see Santa, where every child making the visit was given a balloon within which was another balloon that had ears, kind of like a Mickey Mouse head. The double balloon thing kinda blew me away...
 

Spending summer vacation with my parents, brother and sister and having a lot of Aunts and Uncles and their children with us. They were wonderful days. We would go to the seashore the first 2 weeks of July. There were cousins my age and my sisters age and even my older brothers age. Those were the good old days.
 
I remember as a small girl when my relations from London visited us in the countryside, being fascinated by my aunties glamorous clothes, high heels and make up, they used to give me their handbags to play with and I always found tubes of bright red lipstick and small bottles of perfume, items my mother didn’t use being a country girl
 
American Association of Retired Persons ... I also fit the bill as in the 50+ club. :)
You fit in just fine. I joined in my late 50’s and will soon be 60. Nice to have you here.

I went to school in England when I was 4 but had to wait until I was 5 to go to kindergarten. The first thing I was excited about was in 1965 when we flew to Canada. We didn’t get our own house immediately but in a few months we did and I had my own room. Before I shared a room with my two brothers and slept on a cot. My own room was awesome. I was excited
