Exploring Florida - Through My Lens

We had an alligator in one of our ponds where I live. They cautioned us to stay away. The animal control came and removed it. He was quite large. I didn't see it, however.
There was one showed up at the local CVS pharmacy. Then all the swimming pools and front porches they visit.... People destroy the gator's habitat in the name of progress..... then get upset when they show up in populated places.

They have them in other parts of the city, too. One lives outside a place where a friend works and they just ignore it and take photos but so far it seems not aggressive.. The photo the person took showed the alligator as being a good sized one. Someone here said baby alligators were thrown into the ponds where I live but no evidence that they are in here and people are quick to call animal control.

It maddens me that people toss baby gators in ponds, small lakes, streams! They can then grow up, be labeled nuisance animals and killed.
