Facebook- People who get all of their news from FOX

People who write notes on Facebook should stick to writing only about their lives and up-to-date happenings. Also,keep it among only family and close friends. One should never write about politics and religion to everybody and their cousins.
I just received a facebook from someone I hardly know, quoting from a FOX commentary who read an article that Obama is trying to shut down Fox. The Fox commentary received her info from AmericanNews.com.
Now all these good Bible Belt Believers are in an uproar.
 

The only friends on my Facebook account are my close family. I get to see what they choose to publish and photos of the little ones as they grow. Politics I confine to Facebook Community pages. On twitter I am more political but only one grandson follows me there.

I guess there is a time and a place for everything and not everyone, and certainly not all of our friends, is going to agree with our ideas of what the time and place actually is.

My suggestion is to make allowance for friends and family and detach from mere acquaintances if they annoy.
 

AmericanNews site if a fake news site, also called "click bait". They make lots of money on advertisements when gullible people run with their false and twisted stories on social media. Their About Us page is blank, and their contact page is nothing but more ads. If Fox is getting their news from sources like this, it would not surprise me. This is from the conservative headlines website.

Other sites like AmericanNews.com are “click bait.” They take real stories and add a fake picture or fake element. The purpose of “click bait” sites is to get viral social media sharing and then profit off of advertising. When you share a story on social media, check the source. Do not contribute to the viral sharing of these sites. Tell the person that it is a fake site.

Of my FB friends and family only 3 of them are evangelical/republican/Fox news people. However, they rarely post anything about politics, just occasional Jesus stuff. They are good people but their heads are buried in the sand. Two are former colleagues and the other is the daughter of one of them.
 
I do sometimes post about politics or share articles (liberal). I've got a cousin who is a FB friend and he talks to my sister on the phone often. He's always telling her about the horrible things I post - left wing, in favour of gay marriage, etc. He can unfriend me if he doesn't like it.

Facebook should only be used for people to admire pictures of my beautiful kitties!

Seriously though, I don't have a lot of facebook friends. Some I stay friends with because they are former co-workers. Never know when I may need a reference.

At work a lot of the TVs are on Faux News. I'll hear Obama and now Hilary bashing go on for hours. It's what they call news.
