Facelift for you?

In today's mail my brother got a health magazine with a photo of one of my favorite people on the cover, Marlo Thomas. Well, I felt really bad because it was so obvious to see she has had a face lift. What do you think about these people like Barry Manilow, Mary Tyler Moore and dozens of others getting face lifts? Would you like to see a wrinkled expressive looking face or a tight unexpressive mask on your favorite celebrities? I realize it might not be fair for me to judge as I have never made a living with my face and it must be horrible to age for some of these people.

There have been some simply horrible choices made by some folks in Hollywood regarding plastic surgery. That said, I would probably get some eye work done if I had the money. I'd have a tummy, boob and butt-lift, but I've heard you have to reserve those big construction cranes up to a year in advance and it might be too late by then.

Sadly, some once attractive people had face lifts that didn't work out very well, making them look awful. Some of the lip jobs look pretty bad too. Maybe more expensive surgeons do a better job.

Two words...Kenny Rodgers...they pull your face up so far you look scary...NO THANK YOU...if money were no object I would have cupcake sized perky boobs. Otherwise I'm fine with everything else.

I'd rather see a person look a little bit older and keep the same expression/face they've always had. People like Bea Arthur, Kenny Rogers, Wayne Newton, Mickey Rourke just look really bad to me after their surgeries. Also some of the lip jobs look so overdone, like Lisa Rinna, she looked better before. Some look like completely different people, I'd rather just look like an older me, than someone else when looking in the mirror.

LOL!! :) I would go for a tummy tuck if I had the extra $. I might someday.

That's right, Jane Fonda does look good.

But, not to me, sorry to say. Remember, looks are in the eye of the beholder, and only skin-deep. I always wondered what her father thought of her as she was photographed atop a tank in Viet Nam, denouncing our government. After all the "war" movies Henry had made, glorifying the cause.

Most Viet Nam vets I have spoken with despise her. Other than all that, she DOES look pretty good! imp

She does. Sophia Loren looks pretty good too and Christie Brinkley looks awesome. Facelifts are not for everyone but celebrities make their livings from their looks so they probably are more pressured to take serious steps to preserve their faces than the rest of us.

Ahh, fleeting youth and the price for recapturing it, at least it's look. Thank goodness that I am still a young lad...

I've seen photos of some of these people with the faces looking like a plastic doll's face. Ugh!

I would never get a facelift. I'm fine with the few crow's feet and a few wrinkles on the side of my mouth. I would like to get rid of the (ex)smoker's wrinkles above my lip though.

If we had a lot of excess money, like lottery, I would have a boob job and get back my 18 year old perkiness.

Hey Ralph I'm not in the market for a boob job this week but if you collect more than she needs throw a little my way and maybe I'll get my "turkey waddle" done.

Before retiring I worked with a heavy 57 year old lady that was VERY, VERY well endowed as were her two daughters, to the point one had a breast reduction done because her back was bothering her.

Anyway, the gal I worked with said that hers were sagging so much that if she took a gun and shot herself in the nipple that she would probably blow her kneecap off......I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes.

Ike, how much are you willing to donate?
