I think I'll try that 325 lb dead lift. I was not that fit yet. Hip was out of alignment for several months.
When I was 14 some friends and I were into weight lifting. Bench press was my strongest. Got into contests to see who could do the most in a one time jerk. I tried 220 lbs, my rotator cuff still has not recovered!

Yep.
I was sharing the dead lift bar with a younger and much stronger guy. When it was my turn I tried what he left on the bar. I knew I could do 275 once. I was able to do the initial rip off the floor, but knew at about 6 inches up, 325 was too much and dropped it. Chiropractor and natural healing got me back to normal within ... months.

I think Clint Eastwood said it best, or at least one of the film writers did, "A man has to know his limitations". At one time I could bench 300lbs which was more than twice my body weight. Wouldn't think about trying that anymore. Still work out, and have good strength, but the connective tissue isn't what it used to be. "step aside and let me get that ladies" I said to two airline workers. They were going to slide out a wooden crate that had parts for one of the mines. Slid across the aluminum floor of the cargo compartment easily enough, but when it came out I felt everything on the left side of my back, go places it had never been before. Took just enough time getting it on the ground to not crush my feet. The crate weighed 433lbs. One of those expensive life lessons. Mike
