Fat people will be protected from discrimination under law passed in New York

Well, to be honest with you ..I don't need to see it.. unfortunately it's one of the things that are the least positive things about the USA that's very well known outside of America.. and that is that the population tends to be much bigger and heavier than the rest of the world..

Even tourists come back saying they cannot believe the size of the portions served to them in restaurants... usually twice if not 3 times the size which are served outside of the USA .
Sorry, but it is not exclusive to the USA. ;)

Adult obesity in England
The Health Survey for England 2021 estimates that 25.9% of adults in England are obese and a further 37.9% are overweight but not obese. Obesity is usually defined as having a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or above. BMI between 25 and 30 is classified as 'overweight'.Jan 12, 2023

agreed modern living and modern food productions have proved fatal to good health - everything comes in a pkt or box with no sufficient health warnings - we didn't have it in the 40's and 50's but its grown out of convenience and profiteering - we no longer eat to stay healthy - well some of us don't anyhow. Scandanavians used to be the healthiest of of course the sparse groups of inuits and desert Aborigines?
