Favorite tv shows

My favorite is The Vikings, on the History Channel. That is the first show in years that I arrange my schedule to watch. I am already looking forward to the start of the 5th season on Nov. 29th. Then a week later on Dec. 6th, they start a new show called Knightfall...giving a historical drama about the Knights Templar...which has the potential to be another great show.

"Treehouse Master" on Animal PLanet, with Pete Nelson, master builder. I'm amazed every episode watching him&his crew build these beautiful treehouses 'The Little Couple' on TLC. Dr. Jennifer Arnold&her husband,Bill Klein both 'little people' who adopted 2 kids, son Will from China, daughter,Zoey from India.I watched this show from the beginning, love it. Sue

I',m currently watching a fly on the wall show following different farmers working on their farms, and all the hard work it involves along with the impact on their own personal lives... which is really interesting

I like Strictly Come Dancing... ( which for the US and the US contestants has been renamed Dancing with the stars)

I love property shows... not where they're renovating them, but where experts are finding the perfect house for an ordinary couple's budget... '' escape to the country''...or Coast versus country''...or a place in the Sun etc...

Whatever I watch I record first... so I can just FF through all the Ads...

My favorite shows that are currently running right now are The Deuce on HBO and The Good Place on NBC. Also keeping up with American Horror Story and The Walking Dead but I wouldn't call those two my favorite, just entertaining. I do wish more people watched The Good Place. Ted Danson is doing some of his best work on that show.

My two favorites are TURN, Washington Spys (AMC), about Colonial America's first organized spy ring, the Culpeper, aka, Culper Ring, which played out recently and probably won't be back because the Revolutionary War ended in season 4; and a series called Spotless, which is supposed to start its second season on Netflix sometime soon.

I was also watching Mr. Robot, about a group of "hacktivists" calling themselves F-Society, who wanted to free the world of debt to corporations, until season 2 got too stupid to watch.

I enjoy watching shows like Criminal Minds ,Law and Order NCIS and Bull. I love comedies but I haven't seen a good one in a long time.
I've been binge watching The Dick Van Dyke show on youtube and that gives my husband free time to watch Shark Tank, The Discovery channel, Politics and of course sports.

Is the Vikings show based a real people or fictional ones?

The Vikings is based upon the life and times of a Norse leader named Ragnor Lothbruk(sp). As with most of the shows on the History Channel, the writers of this series did some good research before they launched the show. I'm sure that parts of it have been embellished, but it is probably as historically accurate as anything seen on TV today. It is brutal, and not for those who are a bit squeamish, but then, life in those times was pretty harsh.

My Sister just told me she watches a show called 9JKL every week. She said Linda Lavin who played on the tv show Alice is on the show. It's a comedy and now I'm going to watch an episode on Demand and see if it's worth watching.

Okay

Hope it is a funny comedy,so many are over the top and stupid.

I don't watch much TV but do enjoy Designated Survivor and Madame Secretary, I don't know why, I hate politics. Maybe just some good acting in them. Chicago Fire also, but my favorite is Blue Bloods. Has anyone who watches it noticed they don't say grace while sitting around the dinner table this season?I wonder why?

What do you find so interesting about the Vikings?

I am kind of a History buff, and enjoy watching shows and documentaries about life and events in years past. I much prefer shows that have their basis in real events, rather than the imagination of some Hollywood writer. Most of my TV time, outside of the news, is spent watching the History, Discovery, and Smithsonian channels. I refer to spend my TV time watching something that I might learn from, instead of just being "entertained". I do regress, occasionally, on Monday and Tuesday nights if I watch the WWE...wrestling...that satisfies the "child" in me. I also like to watch the poker shows, and that helps me when I sit down at the tables in the casino.
