Now that winter is finally easing up, do you eating habits change? Are there foods which you (usually) only eat in cold weather? What are your favorite cold weather comfort foods?

Mine:

Chili
Bean soup with ham
Chicken & noodles with dumplings
Sausage & gravy over biscuits
Hot cocoa with big marshmallows

You have at least two of mine on the list

Chili over rice.
Chicken & Dumplings
Beef Stew & corn bread

Though the first two don't agree with me so much anymore. sigh, doesn't mean I don't give them a try once a year. :D

A bacon and mushroom omelet. I'd love to add cheese but I'm on a low histamine diet.

That's something I would have a couple of times a week any time of the year. :)

PS For some reason, I was thinking winter comfort foods. I have a whole different list spinning in my head now, add backed macaroni and cheese, lasagne, and so many others.

Unless we are traveling we eat pretty much the same foods all year. We don't have hot summers, it just occasionally gets warm or even hot. And I eat salads all year.

One of my favorite places to eat out at is Fresh Tomatoes, I love a really good salad, but, most of the people I know don't seem to want to go with me there when we do go out to eat. I wouldn't say salad always agrees with me, but, I so enjoy their offerings, plus they have a nice frozen yogurt. taken two years ago eating my dessert. It's self-serve and I wasn't able to turn the machine off fast enough. So, no I didn't eat all of that. :D

In the winter , I like what I call braised steak onions and mushrooms,(I like gravy beef) which I buy in a 1 kg lot , when cooked to melting in the mouth . I put half into small oven to table dishes and cover with flaky pastry and cook till pastry is golden. The other half I make into a stew by adding vegetables and freeze in meal size portions .
I also make other foods in bulk like chicken ham bone ,soup which I add dried soup mix we enjoy a thicker soup at times use barley or red lintels
We enjoy our vegtables it is cooler here tonight ( about 20 c)we had lamb chops, mashed cauliflower, sweet potato peas and beans

Chicken parmesan. I've been becoming addicted to hot cocoa this winter too.
