Interesting Thread...and perhaps an indication for the future of humanity. In virtually All other species, Females outnumber Males by a sizable margin. In most species, the Female dominates most activity, and the Male is there primarily to protect the "herd", and supply the "seed". Given the long term trends in the human birth rates, we may one day see a similar situation. When you think about it, most men would like such a lifestyle...spending the day fishing, or playing golf, and offering his "services" to a different partner every night. It might be interesting to come back in a few thousand years, and see just how this is working out.

In the meantime, our government is a total mess...and the buffoons in Washington are Not making things better. Perhaps its time that we give a Lady a chance to take the lead. Germany seems to be doing fairly well under the leadership of Angela Merkel...maybe its time we chose someone who isn't a charter member of the Good Old Boys Club.
 
Has ageism replaced sexism as politically correct? Gandhi said the future belonged to women, the Dalai Llama says much the same thing. Realistically, how could we possibly do worse? In the third world, it has been found that to change a family's circumstances, give the woman a hand up, ie a goat, whatever. She will use the income to help her family, whereas her husband often spends it on himself. Regarding Rees, if she believes in the supposed biblical imperative, why is she not at home making cookies, rather than heading an advertising agency? Hypocritical at best. Denial is alive and well.
 
Really, Don M.? Wow. We certainly move in different circles. Most of the men of my acquaintance would take umbrage if I suggested they be re.Legated to drone status. Men of my son's generation would have me Evaluated by a mental health professional.
