OMG...really either this woman is completely evil, or care in the community has a lot to answer for not having her already locked up in a psychiatric ward... What a POs...I hope she gets life in prison for this..

Police in Las Vegas have released shocking surveillance footage showing the moment a woman violently pushed an elderly passenger off a bus to his death as she now faces murder charges.
Serge Fournier was reportedly telling the unruly woman on the bus to be nicer to other passengers after she was heard cursing when he was shoved off the vehicle and landed head first on the sidewalk.
Video shows the 74-year-old being shoved down the steps of the public transit bus and smashing his face on the concrete ground.
In the CCTV clip taken from the bus's security cameras, a woman can be seen talking to Fournier as he walked past carrying a walker and heading towards the door.
Then as his back was turned she violently shoved him with both hands, sending the elderly man crashing down the steps.

There's video footage of her pushing him off the bus on the link below !!

The apparent perpetrator has a history of domestic battery in 2014 and 2015. No anger management, therapist or good old fashioned jail time? How could someone not see her behavior left uncheck would escalate. And she did this infront of her child. Can only imagine what type of behavior the child observed or the attitude they will develop.

She's black. And she killed an old white man. She'll get a stiff sentence.

Which she totally deserves.

If it was the other way around. Young white girl shoved an old black man to his death, she would get probation or maybe house arrest.

This is another sign of todays mad society. People are encouraged to 'do what comes naturally', which means not keeping their anger under control. It's time we went back to teaching children good manners and respect for other people.

Trade,

Not necessarily.

All these white criminals got VERY stiff sentences. (victims were black)

Justin Volpe - 30 yrs - victim lived and collected $8M
Jeremy Strohmeyer - life no parole, ever
Michael Slager - 20 yrs

For those not familiar with those names, Google them. All the crimes were horrific, but Volpe's actions were particularly disgusting.

It's changed, apparently, from the old days. I remember learning in a sociology class that the severity of the sentence depended much more on the race of the victim than on the race of the perpetrator. Crimes against white victims were usually punished much more severely, regardless of the race of the criminal.

Well, some things have changed, some haven't. But that would be another discussion.

btw, Justin Volpe's crime was in 1997. He has served over 20 yrs and is still in prison.

It boils down to money. Locking up mentally ill people is costly & they don't want to spend the money for their upkeep. That's also why aging inmates are being paroled - their medical costs go up as they age.

I'm going by these two cases that happened near where I used to live in Florida.

TAMPA - Following a marathon hearing fraught with emotion, a former elementary school dance teacher learned that she won’t go to prison for speeding away from an accident that killed two young brothers last year.
Jennifer Porter, 29, of Land O’ Lakes could have faced up to three years in prison for leaving the scene of the March 31, 2004, accident that killed Bryant Wilkins, 13, and his 3-year-old brother Durantae Caldwell.

Instead, state Circuit Judge Emmett Lamar Battles sentenced Porter early Saturday to two years of house arrest, three years of probation and 500 hours of community service.

Battles sentenced Porter after hearing from witnesses for more than 12 hours. He said he weighed her clean police record and evidence that she experienced “extreme trauma” after hitting the brothers and their two siblings as they crossed a dark street.
The children’s mother, Malissa Wilkins attended the hearing with a number of family members who sat in the first row of the courtroom, across the aisle from Porter’s parents and supporters. She declined comment after the sentence was handed down at about 1:30 a.m. - as did prosecutor Kim Seace and Porter’s attorney, Barry Cohen.

During the hearing, a sobbing Wilkins, 30, urged Battles to sentence Porter to three years in prison.
“I want her to be punished,” Wilkins said. I want her to go to prison. I want her to see what it’s like to lose someone.”
The children were struck by Porter as they returned home from a community center near the newly opened elementary school where Porter was working.

Medical examiner reports said the boys died instantly of head and neck injuries. Witnesses said the 3-year-old was dragged about 150 feet under the silver Toyota Echo.

Porter drove to her parents’ home in Pasco County and did not come forward for several days. Some witnesses said a white van had struck the children first, throwing them into her car, but investigators concluded the van wasn’t involved.
Lycia Alexander-Guerra, a psychiatrist who has treated Porter since shortly after the accident, said Porter’s brain “shut down” after hitting the children, keeping her from acting rationally and calling authorities.
Later, when she wanted to return to the scene and call police, her father decided that they would hire an attorney first, even wiping blood off the car and pulling it in the garage.

Porter could have faced a prison sentence of up to 15 years if convicted at trial. She was offered a plea deal that would have sent her to prison for three years, but her attorney said she decided to plead guilty and hope the judge would give her a lighter sentence.
Alexander-Guerra said Porter continues to punish herself, living under a veil of suicidal thoughts, depression, guilt and shame.
“She has such severe guilt and remorse about happened that there are times she thinks she should be dead,” Alexander-Guerra said.
Porter is white and her victims were black and some in the black community say she has been treated leniently because of her race and economic background.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Cal Henderson has said his office had received calls from some people complaining that Porter was not facing more serious charges. But officials said to warrant a vehicular homicide charge, prosecutors would have had to prove at least two violations, other than leaving the scene.
Investigators estimated that she was driving a 6 to 10 mph over the posted 30 mph speed limit, but they could not find another traffic violation.

“No matter what happens today, it’s not going to bring my kids back,” Wilkins said from the witness stand. “And the way they went out, it was real ugly.”

I remember the Volpe case in NYC. The cop that sodomized the Haitian before beating the crap out of him.

Video is a good thing in court. It’s very strong evidence and the defense has a heckuva’ time refuting it. I’d bet my house that the judge will throw the book and anything else nearby at her. It all depends on her attorneys and what kind of deal, if any, will be offered by the state. I also worry that sometimes Prosecutors or judges will soften the sentence due to the age of the victim. I’ve seen it happen.

Las Vegas judges have a reputation of being tough on crime.

I googled them. They all got off easy. They all should have been executed.

What she did is horrific and made even more so by the fact she did it in front of her young son, then walked away without trying to help the man. Two prior domestic battery charges and still she has custody of that child.

You would lose your bet. It will be very easy for her attorney to establish NGRI (Not Guilty By Reason Of Insanity). And, even if that is unsuccessful, the victim's age is another factor - callous as it is...she wouldn't end up serving much time in prison. You may remember John Hinckley also being found not guilty for the same reason. He's now 100% free with no restrictions, after shooting the president & several others & also causing the death of James Brady.

"Las Vegas Judges being tough on crime?" A judge can sentence anyone to anything - it means nothing, other than a façade show of support for the victims.
It's the Parole Board that decides when to release an inmate. The judge is completely out of the picture.
The Nevada State Parole Board released O.J. Simpson after 9 years. The judge sentenced him to 33 years.

John Hinckley did 35 years in a mental hospital and was considered well enough to be released, under restrictions.

He had certain restrictions while he was allowed out to visit his parents (which is also ridiculous), He now is free with NO restrictions.
