Finally back on line

Gee= I hope no one thought I died- I was in a Google outage-in decades of using Google I had never been in an outage- and they gave a lot of ways to get back on to Google but their suggestions didn't work for most people.

Somehow I got back on today trying anything I could think of and I sure prayed too and I am back on line!!!!!!!!

The biggest problem is I have over 100 unread emails!!!!!!!!!

Probably most are not too important, but it will take me time to get through them.

Maybe I can help the google community as well, as many there are still unable to use Windows due to the outage-I have to write down the steps I took to get my internet back- I couldn't use Firefox either.

pleased you're back.(y) There's a possibility that I will lose connection without warning quite soon , which will be a nuisance and might be away for a few days until I can get it reconnected.. so I'll be in the same boat as you were. fingers crossed it doesn't happen but there's a possibility

Coincidence, just yesterday I was wondering about you! Glad you're ok, but sorry about the technical fiasco!

Welcome home. 🌹

THANK You all for your concern!
It seems things can really get a person down when too much happens all at once.

I not only had Google internet problem but my landline phone went dead and I could not get cell phone access for two days-
The phone man said it was a break in the cables from two telephone poles at the road but he did give me a dial tone-
the Friday here memorial Day and yesterday the phone company hooked up the new cable.

Living in the sticks made me feel very isolated, with no phones and no internet working.

But oddly enough I called my daughter last week and my cell also suddenly worked and she gave me a great tutorial on how the use the Cell phone. I usually only keep it in my purse when I drive, for safety.

Many of my neighbors have to go down the hill about a hundred or more feet to a main highway overpass, to get cell phone reception. Most of them have kept their landl lines, like me because it is such a problem.

I hope all is well with everyone here!

I have all my eggs in one basket so to speak, in that my provider for my Internet, landlines, Mobile Phone and Tv is the One company.

If I have a problem with that company, then I lose all access to the outside world...so with that in mind, I have bought a PAYG sim card, to use if I lose connection.. and can quickly change the sim in my mobile phone.. and be able to make and receive calls, and have a limited access to the internet...

@Widow of Vietnam Vet ... Do you know what happened with Google? I have never heard of it going out in parts of the country. A mystery to me.

I see you live in/near Cohocton, NY. Is it pretty mountainous there? I saw there is really good trout fishing in the Cohocton River. One of my favorite activities. Have you lived there long? Hope you don't mind my curiosity.... :)
