Every night now after 11 pm and sometimes as late as 2 am they are setting off fireworks. I think that is kind of inconsiderate to those who are sleeping and have to work tomorrow.
I used to go down to Edgewater Park to see the fireworks then got tired of the long lines to the park and the crowds of people. I used to enjoy the show, though, on the 4th of July.
I feel sorry for the pets who get very frightened from the fireworks. When inside my dog or bird can hear them but it doesn't phase them. However one 4th of July the year after I got her my dog and I were sitting outside and someone set off some fireworks that I thought were pretty but my dog got scared to death and I had a hard time holding her and taking her back inside. I never took her outside at night on the 4th again, needless to say. A lot of dogs run away on that night if they are outside. It's very sad.
What is your take on fireworks?
