I remember that I went to high school with a girl that had the first name Dale. I think that is an unusual name for a girl.

In the UK, Leslie is a man's name and Lesley is a woman's name. Similarly Vivian is a man's name and Vivienne is a woman's name. There are others as well, that have both a masculine and feminine version, but I can't think of them at the moment.
