First place you drove to

Probably straight to a gas station … I could borrow the family sedan but wasn't allowed to bring her back empty. Freedom cost $0.32 a gallon back then, and I had maybe about $5 to my name. Filled her up to top off and still had a couple of bucks to mess around the metropolis with. Was a good day. The possibilities were endless :)

I believe it was to work , cause I’d been very bado_O and had driven to work prob a dozen times , I had no option ..I was single with 3 children ,no other way of getting to work ( it was in a county town ) and the work was about 3 km out of town.

I only had a 1970 Aussie made Holden I’d paid $100 for , I taught myself to drive ~ I was 25 ( and I’d only recently moved from New South Wales to South Australia )

Work, on a snowy day. I took a detour, rather than the direct route to work (only 1/2 mile away) because I was afraid to drive the very busy street that runs parallel to ours. I wound up getting stuck in a ditch that I couldn't see because it was covered in snow. Don't remember what I did to get out of it. That was 41 years ago.
