There was a man in Florida who abondoned a dog by tying the dog to a fence during a hurricane last year. The Florida Governor said that man would be charged to the fullest extent of the law, which I think is a maxium of 5 years in prison for animal abuse/cruelty. I am still waiting for that follow up story on the sentencing of that man. Although these stories make the large media news headlines, it seems the sentencing is always kept to the local news.I really would appreciate any updates on this story... because want to know she got the worst punishment the courts coud give her
In Spain generally speaking, the Spanish don't care for their animals as we do.. and have them wandering alone in the neighbourhood or leave them tied up outside by a a chainThere was a man in Florida who abondoned a dog by tying the dog to a fence during a hurricane last year. So happy to hear your daughter and her partner helped to rescue animals. I am forgiving of people letting their animals wander alone BUT to tie up an animal is inhumane. If they don't want to take the pet/animal with them, at least have the decency to cut them loose to fend for themselves in a disaster. In Spain generally speaking, the Spanish don't care for their animals as we do.. and have them wandering alone in the neighbourhood or leave them tied up outside by a a chain
In the mountains where my daughter lived, in summer there was always forest fires on the opposite mountain.. and people would just leave their homes, leaving the animals still chained up or wandering alone.
My daughter & her partner had boarding kennels.. her partner was a dog trainer, so when the firefighters and helicopters were fighting the fires, he would join them and rescue as many animals as he could find
