It's a tough question, but I'm going with the ability to communicate with animals. Although if I had cats, I'm not sure I'd want the running commentary in words that their expressions sometimes convey. I lost a very sweet-tempered cat several years ago, but even she could give some snarky looks.

I talk to spiders as I gently take them outside the house and release them in the garden. I also chat with several wild white cockatoos that visit me. They come for a biscuit which they take from my hand. I would like to be able to explain to them that it is not polite to chew the furniture.

My choice would be animals. I've had many one-sided conversations with them.
I've often wondered what I would do if any of them responded. Do I keep it under my hat? Tell everyone I see just what my cat or dog said?
This could be tricky. I wouldn't want the men in the white coats coming for me.
I think I'd keep it to myself.
I might write about it on the Senior Forums though, there are many understanding people here.

I'm going with communicating with animals, sorry for your loss @AnnieA, I know it hurts for a long time and leaves a hole in our hearts. :( I have a sweet cat and dog who I talk to vocally and silently every day, also have with animals in the wild when I have the opportunity.

I've communicated with animals for the last five years, while living in the mountains

I've learned pieces of some languages, in Asia, south America and other places
As fun as that was, I prefer the animals

The tiny hungry ones are most attentive
The larger hungry ones are just plain aggressive

But, I'd take either of those over the smiling two legged back stabbers

Never fails, with animals, you pretty much know where you stand

......even when you're saying g'bye for the last time

I love that photo so much, Gary!

Adding squirrels to the list of animal languages I'd learn.

Not hard for me. Would love to talk to animals. People not so much. There are a lot of dogs that I wish could have understood how much I loved them
